This is my local (close by) shopping store. I come here for last minute dinner items and quick shopping trips, really like having it just a block or two away from me (very convenient)... Recently they've gotten security so it's not as bad as it used to be but you still have the riff Raff / drug users to hang out there, the security kind of stays on top of it or as best as they can I should say.. Prices in the store are slightly higher than a bigger Safeway locations, which is why I treat it like a convenience store, but it's better than actually shopping at a convenience store, price wise... The staff are very nice and always there to help, and i utilize their Pharmacy whenever I have the need for those services and they're always fast and convenient... One really surprising thing about the Safeway that I really like is there produce section in they always have really good products and a good variety for the size of the store.. Overall I recommend it to anyone who needs to make a pit stop for things, but not full on shopping đâď¸

Amazing pharmacy staff, they always make sure I'm up to date on all the information for my medications and they are the absolute best about my needle induced freak outs. I've gotten all my immunizations here for the last 4 years and it's been the best (worst) experience ever. They are calm, and just the nicest staff anyone could ask for. 10/10

I have had nothing but good experiences at this pharmacy. I find the staff helpful and knowledgeable. The only complaint I have is they really push the vaccine shots. If I want one, I'll let you know.

My insurance didn't cover all of my meds and the pharmacist went out of his way and gave me a discount card for all my meds. Customer service is a 10+.

Convenient location and nice staff but the prices are higher than any other grocery store and they have the worst selection ever

The M Street Safeway location is a rough spot only due to the people that shop there.
But this location has so much history and is a special spot.
I really would like to highlight the pharmacy staff. They are hard working, attentive, and caring. I totally regret not knowing their names at the moment but I do know theyâve been very communicative and work hard for their clients. Iâve moved on the other side of Tacoma but I havenât changed my pharmacy because I love their customer service. Thanks Safeway pharmacy team for all you do. I know itâs a tough job.

Over the course of a decade, I have been a loyal customer of this establishment. However, I must admit that my experiences have become increasingly negative due to the unprofessional behavior and apparent lack of respect displayed by certain staff members. Unfortunately, the pharmacy's potential for community service and professionalism is overshadowed by the regrettable behavior of certain individuals within its ranks, specifically directed towards me. Their behavior, devoid of any grace or civility, sharply contrasts with the expected ethos of a place dedicated to health and wellbeing. I am deeply disappointed by the recent experiences I have had, as they have greatly diminished the quality of service and undermined the principles of customer care and respect.

I have come here sometimes for services, and I have received them. My review is more on their staffâs behavior. I have given them respect, and I have not been treated in the same manner. Some of the techs I encountered did not show any professionalism and were rude to me at the counter. During my last visit, there was a lack of cleanliness in their waiting area as I went to sit down and when I stood up, there was a white stain on the back of my jacket from something stuck to the seat. Customers should not have to experience that. I would not come back unless they hire people who practice the golden rule and remember to clean up any messes in their area of the store.

Over the past week, our family signed-up online to get immunizations here. Mr. PARAS DOSHI is an excellent, professional administrator of immunizations. We had minimal pain in our arms after all of our family received Covid-19 vaccinations. He also administered our annual flu shots. This pharmacy- and grocery store- is located in an underserved neighborhood where homelessness and affordable housing are at a breaking point. This pharmacy and the grocery store are what this neighborhood NEEDS as an anchor business. I witnessed Mr. Doshi interact very well with an underprivileged individual and made arrangement to administer him a flu-shot immunization-- I presume free of charge-- but I'm not sure. I will return next year for our annual immunizations. Thank you Mr. Doshi-- please know that you are appreciated.

I no longer live in the area, yet I keep my prescriptions at M Street. I am always asked, âWhy do you go to the UnSafeway?âCustomer service. The techs are alway friendly and the pharmacists are extremely helpful. If you treat them with the respect they deserve, they are the nicest team around. They will help you to stay current on your medications and readily share the info with you.The experience with them is so much better than any of the big box pharmacies.
