The customer service desk really lacks customer service. I was in today to reload my orca card. Ever since they came out with the new cards the cashiers have trouble. I have to ask them to run like I'm getting a new card, if they don't believe me, they won't even try like the lady at the desk today she totally ignored everything I said and just told me to bad. I walked over to a cash register and asked the cashier to run it the same way I asked the lady at the service desk, she was skeptical but at least attempted to try what I asked. It worked and I was on my way. I reload my card there about twice a month and have to try to schedule a time to do it when I know a cashier I've worked with before is there. I'm not rude when I ask, I explain that it's been an issue it's to often that I get a cashier that just blatantly ignores what I'm asking and won't even listen. It's ridiculous.

If you have a club card and you don't mind going on there app Everytime you want to buy something from there it's ok. But it is lame that now you have to go on the app and find the exact things you are looking for and clip the coupons before you check out. Nobody wants to do all that.
Go to WinCo. They are so much cheaper and easier. They have everything. And you can get twice the amount of groceries as anywhere else for half the money

My neighborhood grocery store! It's a smaller Safeway so sometimes I have to go to the one on 38th for more variety.

Store is very clean and well stocked. They don't have a huge selection of certain items but that's because they are limited on room.

Took the kids to Safeway in Tacoma for sundae fixings—three kinds of ice cream, nuts, cherries, whipped cream, and a sprinkle of impulse buys. Great cleaning supply sale, but the app-only coupon ghosted me. Still, self-checkout was smooth, and our sweet tooths were satisfied!

Parking it's a nightmare is my only complaint. But usually, it is a quick in and out of the store, and I am able to find most items in my grocery shopping list. You do find your most essential products ✨️

My aunt lost her keys in the store. She talked to the store manager, Saturday evening June 29th, and kindly asked him announce over the speaker to bring her keys up if anyone finds them. He just shrugged and stared at her blankly. The Safeway cashier and security? on the other hand was helpful to her and gave her potential solutions.
What’s funny is I meant to give the Safeway a bad review a few weeks ago for their Starbucks constantly being closed during regular Starbucks. So two for one bad star review. I get staffing issues but the fact that it happens so much tells me it’s probably the work environment.
So bad store manager.
Good cashiers and other wait staffs.
I will continue to frequent this Safeway as it’s convenient to where I live however.

Literally saw staff jump a peson and used to 2 people to drag a man back into the store. Twisting and bending his arm in bad ways.
Im not saying that we should let people steal but physically harming someone over cat food is disturbing and disgusting. I should have known better than to come back here.
I wouldn't wish this pharmacy on my worst enemy. It's like trying to get squirrels to work a space shuttle.

Bad experience from a worker there. She kicked me out of the self checkout after I had already started scanning items. She claimed I had too many items for that time of day. I estimated I had 20 items. They do not have a sign stating how many items are allowed at certain times of the day. She voided my transaction and made me walk back (in front of other customers who were all staring) and go into another line. It added unnecessary time and it was frustrating. I could have scanned my items and been out in five minutes. Instead, it took me way longer. Ridiculous and embarrassing. I do not recommend shopping here.

I appreciate Nathan the cashier, I provided him with a whole lot of stress today with my coupons and whatnot and using my rewards points to get cat food. He kept it cool and was a big help.
