Sanford & Son Antiques! is a large, multi-story antique shop located in the vibrant Theater District of Tacoma. Spanning three floors and featuring over 20 shops, it creates a labyrinth of wares that offers a unique adventure for visitors. The store is known as the home of the Middle Floor Merchants, a space for entrepreneurs to realize their dreams, and functions as a community hub, a living museum, and an Instagram destination. Inside, the atmosphere transports visitors to the past with the scent of old books and the creak of floorboards. The top floor is like an Aladdin’s cave, showcasing items such as an Egyptian sarcophagus, cultural artifacts, and stained glass windows. Descending the grand marble staircase reveals a diverse collection of vintage clothing boutiques, art galleries, tattoo parlors, and personal care shops, each with its own character. The store features a vast collection of curiosities, oddities, and treasures, making every visit a new adventure. Some items are for admiration, like the encased sarcophagus, while others beckon collectors and treasure hunters alike. While the store can be maze-like and challenging to navigate, it remains a beloved Tacoma icon that has been visited for over 40 years. Visitors appreciate fair prices and the thrill of exploration, though some find certain treasures priced beyond reach. Overall, Sanford & Son Antiques! celebrates history and humanity’s ongoing story through its diverse offerings, making it a must-visit destination for those interested in antiques and unique finds.
Had a great time visiting this place. Plus I'm new to WA from the bay area. I have some of my artworks displayed on the 3rd floor.

A very cool place in the heart of downtown Tacoma! A little bit of a creep factor only because buildings of this age usually have a tendency to have some good good stories in their history. My artwork is currently on display for viewing and purchase at A Gift Of Serenity on the second floor!
