Gave SCU three stars today. Finally a lady named ********************* contacted me. She has no more helpful with my payment situation than any other person. They still ** a company called ****** is still terrible and blames everyone else. *** has startled to try and correct my credit from last year so hopefully I can get a home equity loan from my own bank ??????

Don't ever use them. Way too controlling with your money and they will retain your ATM debit card without notice whatsoever.

This is MY branch. Everyone here is so helpful for me and my business. Amber W. at this branch is an extremely smart, capable, clever, and creative financial advisor. And not only that, she is involved in and cares for the businesses in this community. She not only has helped me find financing for my business and keeps my records in order, she is also a client of mine. She keeps it professional and always makes me and my business feel at the center of everything she does. I appreciate her candor and kindness every time I come in to get work done at this Sound Credit Union location.

This is the last place you want to bank with. Multiple issues but the worst one was when they transferred $800 into it a strangers account with the same name and then gave me an explanation of accidents happen.

RUN!!! This credit union has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a bank. For years I have been experiencing internal theft from some of their employees and no matter how many times I complain they just cover it up and on some occasions I get my money back, but I am still missing hundreds of dollars that they still will not investigate and give back to me. I believe that the main culprit in this theft is a woman named Charlene who is over one of their finance depts. Please steer clear of this bank (credit union). They are not for the people.

I paid our car off way early. I gave them my new address so the title could be sent to me. They messed up on the address so it got sent back. Now I have to pay $89 to have another one and sound. Credit Union said they're not responsible. So now I'm out more money again. I also gave them my new address twice and they still didn't have it right

Best bank I've ever used. Never a wait of more than 2 people in the branch. Staff quick, friendly and attentive. Many extra free services like notarizing and counting of coins (up to $200 per day free last I was there). Even the security guards are nice! Never will I go back to a regular bank.

Terrible company. I've been with them for a year. I signed an agreement. If I overdraft. They will remove from one of my other accounts. And charge a five dollar fee. They never followed that agreement. And even though my other accounts had sufficient capital. They paid it themselves and charges me 30 dollars for doing it. I was charged 600 dollars in a matter of days. When my other accounts had sufficient capital to cover it. They are theives. When you try to get it resolved. They say "we will have a manager contact you" and no one does. I'll be standing in front of their broadway branch with a sign warning people of the fact that they are thieves.

Had this place for over 20 years I love it's having a hard time getting my debit card this time but they always catch up scam on my card so I do love them for that

If you love sitting on hold for 30 minutes to an hour at a time, this is the credit union for you. Absolutely unacceptable. Sound, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I used to live in Washington state, I am active duty and now live in North Carolina. I had a bank account through sound credit union and received a notification in the mail now five years later that I still have $344 in my account. I had a vehicle loan through them which is why I never close my account out before I left I had paid my vehicle off in full but did not realize I had money actually in my bank account there because I didn’t use it as a bank account. Two days in a row now I have called to try to request this money to be sent or transferred into my account and I’ve been given three separate answers from three different women. The first two were extremely polite to me. I have been receiving emails now from Lisa at the info desk who is being so cold and short to me and refusing to help me. I was told that I could go to a credit union near me and they could transfer the funds using my member ID but both of the credit unions near me are out of my way so I called back and I was given an email for accounting and I was told to send a photocopy of my drivers license and my member ID to request a cashiers check email to the address on file so that is what I did. A woman name Lisa has continued to email me and keeps telling me that I need to keep calling in to request this information instead and I’ve explain to her I’ve already called and I was given her email address to request a cashiers check being sent to me and she’s refusing to help me now; and has stopped responding to my emails.

Sound Credit Union has been such an amazing bank, I wanted to leave a review and feedback on a recent experience I had. My wife and I have been saving up for a house, since we are expecting a newborn in February! About a few weeks ago, I had a fraudulent charge from an Apple Cash withdrawal for a large amount of money. To say the least, we were devastated that this happened during a stressful period of our lives. We canceled our debt card. I went to the Tacoma Downtown branch and they issued a new one, right then and there. I was relieved as I had a trip planned the next day! Additionally, I was working with a Customer Service Rep Katie via secure messages and she was able to get things reviewed. My wife and I felt so relieved after receiving credit to the account for the occurrence. It’s been a weight taken off of our shoulders and are more than happy that we have a fantastic Credit Union that are dedicated to the security of our accounts and livelihood. Thank you for your team and your assistance through our crazy period of life! Bless your hearts.
