Tacoma Cemetery is a well-maintained historical cemetery that has been a source of pride for the local community. The caretaker's deep knowledge and love for the cemetery make it a fascinating place to explore. The cemetery offers a range of services, including pet cremation, which has been described as an expert and compassionate experience. Additionally, the cemetery has a pauper section, where an estimated 2,000 people are buried, with over 1,600 identified. This section, while historical, can have a creepy atmosphere, especially at night. Despite the cemetery's somber nature, it is also a peaceful and serene place to take a leisurely walk and enjoy the natural surroundings, including the birds and flowers. The cemetery is also dog-friendly, as long as visitors remember to clean up after their pets. Overall, Tacoma Cemetery is a complex and multifaceted place that combines historical significance, professional services, and a tranquil natural setting, making it a unique and intriguing destination for both locals and visitors.
Its beautiful place. It seemed a bit over grown for some of the graves. Some are knocked over.. tons of folliage scattered around broken branches. My kids were respectful and interested.

As much as I love old historical places, I always have trouble here as it gives me the creeps for some reason. I generally find cemeteries to be peaceful places.
