  I’ve been seeing Mirela at Union Salon since October 2024, and she consistently does an amazing job with my hair. She really listens to what I want and brings my vision to life every single time. Whether it’s a haircut, color, or styling, I always leave feeling confident and happy. I’ve never been disappointed, she truly cares about her work and her clients!

  I can’t say enough good things about this place! From the moment you walk in, the vibe is everything. The salon is absolutely gorgeous, with such a fresh and calming energy that instantly makes you feel at home. My stylist was PHENOMENAL. I’ve never felt so comfortable in a salon chair. Not only did she totally understand what I was looking for, but they also made the whole experience so fun and relaxing. If you’re looking for a salon that nails both the atmosphere and the service, this is the spot. Highly recommend!

  WOW.. Safe to say, I've found my permanent salon! Not only is the environment so welcoming and lively, but their stylists are top notch. I have been seeing Shea for extensions, cut and color for over a year and a half, and it's the most I've loved my hair, ever. She's very knowledgeable about hair health and what might look best for each individual, not to mention extremely talented when it comes to lived in color and extensions. I would recommend Union Salon to anyone and everyone!

  I see Vanessa Frank, she's got the warmest personality. She can talk to absolutely anyone. She is an artist with hair! Give her artistic license and see what magic she can create. You get what you pay for--it's top dollar and worth every penny. The salon is like her, warm and easy to be around. It's in Opera Alley, which you must check out! So colorful and uniquely Tacoma. Many amazing gems, including the pirate bar next door--study the menu ahead of time! And over the moon, the cutest date restaurant across the way.

  Had to cancel my hair appointment after being told 300 and something for going blonde plus the hair cut. Then when I called to ask how much it would be just the hair color I was then told 390$ not including the color that would be used. So it would be over 400 almost 5 just for the color which made zero sense after I was quoted 3something for the color and the hair cut

  I recently moved to the area and was excited to find a new salon. Union Salon looked charming and inviting from the outside, so I decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately, that’s where the good impressions ended.
  I booked a haircut with Kate online only to have the appointment canceled the morning of, just hours before my scheduled time. I understand things come up, and yes, I booked a day or two in advance, but canceling last minute without offering a good solution? Not a great look for a business supposedly welcoming new clients.
  Still trying to give the place a chance, I checked out Maranda’s nail work on Instagram which looks amazing. I messaged her to ask if she was accepting new clients or could recommend someone local. She told me to keep an eye on her stories as sometimes there will be openings. I eventually snagged an appointment months out when she posted her booking link. Then, just recently, she reached out to reschedule which I appreciated. Life happens. I responded promptly with my availability to reschedule… and then? Radio silence. It’s been over a week.
  At this point, it feels like Union Salon is more interested in curating an aesthetic than actually running a business. If you're new to the area and looking for a reliable salon experience, you might want to keep looking.

  I went to this salon for the first time today after getting a very bad haircut at another place. My hair is thick, fine, and straight, which can be hard to cut and isn’t very forgiving.
  
  I left a voicemail asking for a senior stylist with experience in my hair type who is good at point cutting and blended layers. The salon called back quickly, recommended two stylists, and got me in within 48 hours with Eleven.
  
  Eleven truly saved the day. He did a dry cut and fixed all the choppy, uneven layers from my last haircut in less time than my scheduled appointment. My hair is finally even again. He makes it look so easy, and it was a huge contrast from my last experience.
  
  I already scheduled another appointment because when someone cuts your hair this well and this effortlessly, you know you’ve found a keeper.
  
  If you have fine, thick, straight hair and are tired of ending up with blunt or choppy cuts, Eleven is the stylist you want.

  I had an amazing curly hair cut with Eleven. It’s hard to find a stylist who knows how to cut curls for both a natural look and curly look—Eleven nailed it with quality & attention to detail. The salon is nestled on a cute alley and decorated with sweet touches. Parking was easy. 10/10. 🫶🏼

  This is my go to salon! I haven’t Had a stylist that I didn't LOVE! The staff here are phenomenal. They make you feel so comfortable and their space is gorgeous!

  Unfortunately I did not receive a very good haircut here. I knew it was risky booking with a random hairdresser named Ashley, but I thought $75 was high enough to assume she would be experienced. I was wrong. I received a choppy and chunked haircut, even getting longer and shorter in certain areas. Seriously very bad, I don't know what else to say other than maybe she was rushed. I hate to be negative since she was friendly and nice, but I just had to leave a review. My hair is straight and thick which I know is challenging, but that's why I went to a hairdresser. I showed my sister who is also a hairdresser and she was shocked. Even after my hairdresser curled my hair, you can see the uneven cut.

  I just want to start off saying how picky I am about who touches my hair. I travel from Whidbey island all the way to Tacoma to get my hair done. The salon is very open and welcoming. Elle is the only stylist I trust with my hair. My hair is waist length, dark, and thick. Elle has not only kept my color perfect, but has the experience needed to keep it healthy and beautiful with every cut.
  
  I took my husband in with me last time. Elle gave him a fantastic beard trim and haircut while we were there.
  
  I would reccomend Elle to anyone looking for a great stylist who not only listens and understands but also has experience and knowledge. My only wish....she was closer! ❤️ Union salon is lucky to have her.
