My fiance and I still mask due to a severely compromised immune system. We went in the store to get a few supplies and the employees gave us dirty looks and had inappropriate conversations about Covid. I am a third generation customer of Ace. I will not return.

I used to love coming here but while checking out in the span of 3 minutes, I was told that expired coupons aren't accepted anymore in a pretty rude way, the cashier ran out after a man and accused him of stealing when he walked in with some paint cans looking to buy some more (which weren't in stock) and then a man came in with a bag and was told he had to be searched. This used to be a friendly place that still felt like a neighborhood hardware store despite being a chain, but this whole experience left such a bad taste in my mouth. I'll just go to McClendons from now on.

The price online ace website was $16 and instore was $20 for same item. They seem to jack up prices in store. Clerk initially would not honor online price. Clerk was rude about it but eventually honored the online once I told him Ill order it online and “pickup now”

We love Westgate Ave Hardware. They are friendly, helpful, quick to serve. Recently I needed help on a birthday gift for my husband. The team at Ace went above and beyond to help me get everything exactly right, exactly in time. And they did it with joy!

Walked in feeling excited. Walked out feeling absolutely humiliated. Embarrassed. Frustratingly defeated.
They told me I had to leave but I can pay for the gifts I had picked for my mom. Her garage burnt down along with my great grandmas ornaments and was ecstatic when I seen a very similar ornament from Grandma's collection. Im explaining all this bcuz Dan put the blame on the "camera man" only to find out that Dan is manager was shocking. Also I had an employee literally standing right next to me the whole time I was in the store.... Like what is the problem? Why am I being asked to leave l? WHY?? I'm not doing anything different than the rest of the folks there but bcuz im not the typical customer.. middle aged old person i needed to go cuz it wasn't to your liking. What a joke. No wonder you don't ever see anymore of these store round with "service" like that.

This place has everything. I went looking for an obscure RV part, sure they wouldn't have it, but they did. The employees, unlike huge box stores, know about the whole store. They answer questions clearly showing their knowledge of the products and different jobs around the house I've come to them with. There's also a Hallmark section full of greeting cards and small gifts. They have plenty of Christmas ornaments and supplies too.

Usually the clerks are friendly and helpful but they were noticeably different today. They didn't say thank you for the purchase and all three cashiers seemed very grouchy. Why the change? New management?

Not the cheapest prices in town, but still the best service. You can always find the help you need. This is usually my "go to" place when I need something quick. They have a huge selection of Yeti products, and even a small Hallmark store location inside.. They have a garden center in the rear... and have to mention that they always have free coffee, tea and soda for customers located in the back as well.
