Esther Short Park and Playground is a charming and lively public space located close to downtown Vancouver. It features a playground with fun and creative play structures, making it an enjoyable spot for children to explore and play. The park has benches, a large, fancy clock tower, and a water feature that is especially enjoyable in summer. Visitors often find the park to have a good vibe, with a friendly atmosphere and a mix of people experiencing the outdoors in an urban setting. The park hosts a year-round farmers market on Saturdays, and in spring and summer, it also runs on Sundays. The market offers a variety of food choices, including produce, salsa, hot food, and scones, attracting friendly vendors and visitors alike. There are toilets near the playground and nearby spots where people can buy drinks and snacks. Though not very big, the park is a great place for families to relax, explore, and enjoy the vibrant community atmosphere.
I think this is one of the nicest parks in vancouver. Probably because of the creek that runs down the side of it that you can splash your feet in. I Really enjoy the vibe here. But if I had kids, I would keep them close, it's not dangerous. But there is a lot of people sometimes.

Nice public park with benches, belltower, waterfeature in the summer and playground. Usually can see an urban outdoorsman or two experiencing the great outdoors in the urban setting as well.

Nice area for kids to play & explore. In the summer, there is always something going on. The Farmers market is year round on Saturdays and in the spring/summer Sundays too.
