Safeway is a little to pricey I like the store but prices are just to high. If you can sell an item on sale why not lower the price to that for good.
Now I just went in today a lot of items I wanted were not there did have some sales I liked but for the most part 2 registers open .get rid of the rest of your not going to use them items not stocked.
Could be a tactic for merger mania.

This stores employees are so disrespectful, they only have one to two registers open EVER and now they won’t let you checkout at self checkout unless you have 15 items or less. I had 22 items and only 3 of the 6 self checkout lanes were being used, and I was told I had to go wait in there 20 minute long checkout line to checkout since I had more than 15 items. My fiancé and I had split up our order and checked out at self checkout because that is ridiculous, if you’re not going to open all your registers first of all why do they exist. So, this freaking employee didn’t like that and decided to come count the items we had and then started asking if we rang everything up. So, now you’re insinuating that I am trying to steal too. Is that what you were hired to do harass customers when they come to your store?!?! Making them want to take their business elsewhere. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE?!?!?!

My husband went here to get breakfast burritos from the deli this morning. He stood and waited almost 20 minutes, made eye contact over 5 times to the woman behind the counter. She ignored him, even when he politely said "excuse me", still ignored him. Learn some better customer service. We both work in a grocery store and know how to treat our customers.

Came here today around 2:40 p.m, I ordered dark meat fried chicken but she got me the mixed fried chicken instead.

I come to this Safeway all the time, like almost daily. This particular store has great staff, checkers, and those in each department. The meat department in particular, i like the best of any local stores. They run deals, but besides that, the whole department seems customer oriented. The manager of the seafood dept is excellent, and same for the meats, and their staff share that same helpful attitude. I had a negative view of safeway for many years, but this store completely turned me around and it is now my first preference

Reliable grocery store. Always the right selection of moderately priced. Forgot picnic items, or breakfast needs, find the local Safeway.

I had been shopping at this store for almost 2 years. Last couple of times I shopped here, the plain clothes security officer followed me all over the store and when I stopped to look at meats, he stood in my personal space and just watched me...silent harassment indeed. I have never shoplifted from this store or any other store. I did not see any other Black customers so I guess I was followed because I'm Black and he wanted to make sure I knew that he was watching me. Job well done because I will never ever shop at this store again. Please stay tuned about the next Safeway I shopped at and had a similar experience. So next grocery trip was at Chuck's Produce where I spent more money yet got better quality service and if security was watching me, I did not notice. I spent over $100 at Chuck but the customer service and atmosphere were worth it.
