“all kinds of literature for sale at cost that i didn't even know existed! something for everyone seeking recovery (from the 'mothership' of 12-step) even if you're in another 12-step fellowship. this place welcomes volunteers and occasionally holds meetings and gatherings... feels like home away from home. you just have to hang out there a bit to understand, but i'm pretty sure you'll end up glad that you did.”
“It’s usually fantastic, staffed and volunteered by wonderful people who treat everyone with kindness, respect, and dignity. For real, they are beautiful souls. However, today there was someone working there I’d never seen before - an older lady with glasses, a baseball cap, and a limp - and she was so rude. Yelling at the entire line bc more than 10 people went inside at once (tho we had no instruction or clue this was the policy); and yelling at an Asian woman looking at some free bunches of flowers to choose from, “I don’t have time for this!” and when the same smiling Asian woman asked a question in her native language, the worker woman replied, “I speak English!” Horrible and not representative of the rest of the staff and volunteers.”
“During the winter, there aren't many booths. However still fun to walk through. Got some good barbecue. There are a few vegetable stands, knife sharpening, soap/lotion, jewelry.”
“Great people to work with. Very dedicated to helping find forever homes for rescues. We rescue several strays a year on average and trust Emerald City to always do what is best for the animals.”

“Just finished our day on the lake at Gig Harbor. We took advantage of the Gig Harbor Boat Shops awesome, reasonably priced classic boat rentals. It was a great experience in a wonderful boat. “I've been to the food bank here and it is busy busy, but flows well. Good produce, no spoilage, some meats and dairy offered, they have a clothing closet, they have other services available depending on the funding. Real nice people.”

“The IRC organization lives up to its commitments in providing educational and economic wellbeing to refugees in the Greater Seattle Area. The organization’s office based in Seattle helps refugees to apply for permanent residency and US citizenship as well as helps them to settle down in the new country through active social engagement and learning opportunity.In the summer of 2020, I had a chance to observe the organization’s operations as it was in charge of providing refugees support in US citizenship application. Becoming a citizen is a very important part in a refugee/immigrant life history. I observed the IRC provide information on how to obtain legal assistance, prepare paperwork for those who have difficulty understanding the English language, and assist with learning about the US history and civics test. Overall, the process of providing information about the necessary steps needed to apply for a US citizenship as well as the support with each step was well streamlined. I highly recommend this organization.”
“We love our Y! They have age appropriate classes for both my hubby and myself. We do water aerobics three mornings a week and I do Rock Steady Boxing two afternoons a week. Wonderful great caring staff, coaches and instructors.”

“They have this process down. It's efficient use of the volunteers and they make you feel like you are contributing. This was my third time here, and I packaged lentils, dairy and frozen potatoes. After a quick briefing and getting suited up, we are in the task. You get a rhythm going and get quicker. It's more fun when you bring friends, and the time goes fast. Makes me feel like I am giving back a bit.”
