“Ford AOD transmission. 1969 Mustang. I lost overdrive and reverse. I needed a rebuilt. After a lot of research, I ended up going to Twin City Transmission in Washougal. Brian is a one man shop, but he knows what he is doing and did it at a reasonable price. No. I take that back. He did it at a great price! I tried to get a ball park number estimate from a bunch of shops including Metro Transmission. (who I have used in the past and also did a good job). All of them quoted $2000 -$3000 if I carried it in. Brian at Twin City Transmission was the only one who refused to give me a ball park number. He said he could not until he took my transmission apart and looked inside. Somehow, after talking to him about my transmission, I decided to go with him, even through he would not give me a price. In the end it cost less than all the other shops estimates!”

“WOW, this would actually be my second time coming to trans medic Transmissions. The first time was for my 2006 Ford f150. That was around 2018-19. I was super satisfied then, it's why I returned years later for my GMC Acadia which was a really hard time for me. The people here are extremely kind, I must of called them to get answers 4-8 times and they were there for me to answer all my questions until the job was finished. Ummm... they stand by their work and I feel comfortable driving my vehicle now. I will only go to Trans Medic because I've established a relationship with them. They replaced a battery in my car which really they didn't have to do that. So I Definitely recommend them. My f150 doesn't even run anymore, but the Transmission worked all the way until the end. “5 star service. Roy was honest with the repair issue and found the actual problem. I was quoted 3000+ at another location for my a/c. He found the problem- fixed it for 1/2 the amount. When I picked my car up, there were treats in it! I just got a thank you letter in the mail. In these days.. this kind of service is few and far between. I will never take my car anywhere else. The receptionist was also amazing (I can't remember her name) I highly recommend this place. Don't buy a new car, go see Roy!”

“I have a 1945 Chevy school bus that been restored and updated with 1 gen Cummins diesel and 2nd gen Dodge transmission. The company that installed it was never able to get the transmission quite right. After searching for a company that would be willing to undertake my conversion , Chavez Transmission, was willing to look at it. Many shops won’t touch the bus because it is a retrofit.

I was having issues with shift linkage! I was only able to shift into drive and not down to 2nd or 1st. He got it fixed so had all my gears! Also my shift indicator is an aftermarket indicator and didn’t read right. He moved and manufactured some brackets to make it work correctly. It took a couple of tries but he made it right and didn’t charge extra for his time. As for cost, he is extremely reasonable.

It’s hard to find shops committed to going that extra mile to solve the problems, especially when it’s a custom build. But Chavez Transmission is one of them. I can’t recommend a shop more highly qualified than Chavez Transmission. He knows his stuff and is a pleasure to work with. 5 stars!

“I originally came to master tech Gresham with a worn out steering lock housing. They said it could possibly take up to 6 months to fix because they had to get a new key code from the manufacturer. They were able to get me up and going again in a little over a month! They also noticed that my serpentine belt needed to be replaced too and suggested that they replace it before they returned it back to me. During the time they had my car I came to the shop on two separate occasions to get something out of my car. On one occasion my rear passenger door was left ajar and on another occasion my drivers side window was left down. And upon return of my car after the initial steering lock housing was fixed and serpentine belt replaced, my car was covered in tree sap from on of the fir trees nearby. Those are the areas I noticed needed improvement (but we all have room for improvement).
A couple months after having my car back I noticed that the steering column cover wasn’t on correctly. I contacted master tech and they said to bring it back in and they would take a look at it. Upon inspection and trying to fix it they said the part was brittle and needed to be replaced. These guys took it upon themselves to get the steering column fixed and they stuck with it until it was fixed correctly even when they were sent the wrong cover and some that were broken from their supplier. They got my car fixed back to how it was before I brought it in. I appreciate everything they did!
I marked overpriced because it was expensive but I also understand the Labor and the situation my car was in. The team at master tech is great and they will ensure the work is done properly”
