Serving folks since 1917? I Saw someone walking out with a chili dog. They offer basic groceries, produce, meat, a few plumbing items, all sort of randomness. Great small store is bigger on the inside than expected. Someone mentioned the place was sold recently. Hopefully they continue the family feel

The Merc continually goes beyond expectations to meet the needs of a grateful community. The Fuller family and all the employees are a great blessing to everyone that happens by. Best burgers, sandwiches, pizza and fresh meats anywhere.

I love country stores like this. Reminds me of when I was a very young boy, living on the farm. In western Massachusetts and after my mother passed a 4. I would go to my uncle's farm, during the summer, in Missouri.Remember going to the country store in the area.Loved them so much. They always have things, that you don't see anywhere else.In Missouri they had a pop call Moonshine. It was somewhat like Mountain dew.Then they had penny candies.You bought just about everything you need on the farm.I liked this store very much. I wish I lived nearby. I live in SeaTac Washington.

Wonderful outpost for all your outdoor adventures. Great people, will stocked!No firewood in the summer.Propane fill up, ice, parking passes, tackle and gun shop, deli, beer, wine, meat counter, cigs.

Family owned business that is being run by at least the second generation now. Chris is always awesome and I miss seeing him on a regular basis. I used to live just passed Salmon Falls for just over 6 years & it was so nice to be able to drive just a few miles down the road to get what I needed. Whether it be a homemade sandwich, milk, eggs, or to rent a movie (lol). I don’t know if movie rentals are still a thing there being that DVDs are kind of phased out, but it brings back fond memories.Outsiders may not understand that the Washougal River Road is it’s own community. And when summer time rolls around and those Oregon license plates go ripping by the Merc at 60 mph It’s frustrating. Visitors bust through the door like they own the place, and it does rub us locals the wrong way. It’s like you’ve came into our living room and started disrespecting us by barking orders. Respect is reciprocated not given. Everyone that works at the Mercantile is great.

In this amazing little mom and pop shop you will find some of the most friendly customer service, you can get some tasty burgers, a delicious sandwich, take and bake pizza, hotdogs or cordogs, meat from the deli (chicken, pork, beef and other items i.e. bacon wrapped asparagus, bacon wrapped tenderloins etc...), groceries and BEER, quick emergency items for your vehicle from the auto section, a card or gift for a special occasion (from the gift shop portion of the store), some emergency school supplies, hardware, they have a gun shop owned by their nephew named Cody, which is available 2 days/week (Wednesday and Saturdays 12:30pm-5:30pm) propane and fuel (regular, non-ethanol, and diesel). This place has it all! I'm sure I'm forgetting some things but seriously go check them out! You won't regret it! Oh almost forgot to mention you can also get your discovery passes, naked falls passes and fishing/hunting licenses thru here as well! All the old school feel of a family owned country time store!
