“This is THE Surf Shop in Westport. They've been a community staple since my dad and his friends surfed out here in the 80's-90's. Everyone in here is helpful and kind and genuinely loves surfing and the Westport surf community; I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else if I needed something surf related. Pretty sure it's still ran by the same owner as when my dad used to come here too--he always talks about stopping by to see 'the old man' whenever he's in town. They actually still have some art hanging on the wall in the shop that my aunt drew sometime in the 90's too. Pictured is my dad in front of the old surf shop sign sometime in the 90's, as well as him and his friends surfing with gear they almost definitely purchased entirely from the surf shop or someone they met there, in addition to some recent pics of the shop from my last visit. This is one of those places where you can really feel that surfing is a way of life, not just a hobby. Long live The Surf Shop!”
