Timberline Mountain is a great ski vacation and a wonderful gem in West Virginia. It is a hidden gem without astronomical prices and crazy crowds. The grooming is fantastic and conditions are great. There is something for everyone, with a long beginner trail, blues, black runs, steep double diamonds, and cool tunnels to ski through. There is a dedicated lesson area with a magic lift. The six-pack chair lift moves people to the top quickly, and there is a half mountain lift for night skiing. The lodge is decent and clean. Rentals are easy and in good condition. The atmosphere is fun, positive, and lay back comfortable. Employees are personable and helpful. Everyone was having fun. It is about three hours from DC and less crowded on weekdays.

Timberline is a wonderfull gem on beautiful West Virginia! I was only there for a day. The conditions were great. The atmosphere was fun, positive, and lay back comfortable!! The employees were personable and helpful. O will definitely go back again!!

Best keep secret in West Virginia skiing. High speed six pack gets you up the hill quickly.
