The staff members were very helpful. Fancy Paws also supports adopting cats from the local shelter by hosting a few cats at the store. And of course, there are store cats who strut around the store looking adorable.

1605 Old Rte 219, ElkinsMy kitten was waiting to be fixed at her current vet and the weekend before developed a pyometra- requiring emergency surgery. My vet couldn’t get her in and after calling everywhere I felt helpless as no one could get her in the same day for the surgery. After calling Allegheny Vet. Services, they were able to get us in asap. I drove there and was greeted and reassured by the kindest staff. A couple hours went by and I received a txt that the surgery went well and she was resting. I was able to take her home the same evening. Thank God I found them and so thankful for their quick and compassionate care.

Dinner started off with three different kinds of bread all of which were great. We ordered the dandelion martini, the lavender martini, and the old fashioned all which were impressive. The duck we had for dinner was the best duck we have ever had. We will be back!

2 Davis Ave, ElkinsLove Big Timber!! This is such a wonderful addition to Davis. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always happy to make great recommendations. The location on the Blackwater River is absolutely amazing, with a fantastic covered outdoor deck and patio that's perfect in any season. Inside, the space is beautifully decorated and always feels festive and welcoming. There is a great selection of beer & although they do not have food, there are food trucks there a lot of weekends. We always stop to fill up a growler on our way to Timberline. The pricing is very affordable. Big Timber Brewing truly nails the vibe: great beer, great people, and an unbeatable setting. We'll keep coming back!

Duke's Steakhouse
1777 Harrison Ave, ElkinsThis is a terrific place. Good steaks. Really good steaks. Super steaks! We had a big group and they managed to find a spot for us. Best of all, the owner came over and chatted for a few minutes.
It’s a minor deal, but the French fries were cooked exactly right. Crispy outside, tender inside and fresh.
And the service, we had a fussy five year old and our server helped snap her out of her crankiness.
