The staff members were very helpful. Fancy Paws also supports adopting cats from the local shelter by hosting a few cats at the store. And of course, there are store cats who strut around the store looking adorable.

1605 Old Rte 219, ElkinsMy kitten was waiting to be fixed at her current vet and the weekend before developed a pyometra- requiring emergency surgery. My vet couldn’t get her in and after calling everywhere I felt helpless as no one could get her in the same day for the surgery. After calling Allegheny Vet. Services, they were able to get us in asap. I drove there and was greeted and reassured by the kindest staff. A couple hours went by and I received a txt that the surgery went well and she was resting. I was able to take her home the same evening. Thank God I found them and so thankful for their quick and compassionate care.

Their attention to every detail is remarkable, the presentations are first class, and the flavor of each dish is outstanding! I highly suggest the six course tasting menu. The atmosphere is comforting and inviting, with beautiful mountain views. The service is also extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Along with a great dining menu, they are also known for their wonderfully hand-crafted cocktails, and an extensive wine list. We will be retuning!

Duke's Steakhouse
1777 Harrison Ave, ElkinsAfter a few disagreeable instances with the boss, we hadn't been to Duke's in ages. Since they moved up to Harrison Ave, we decided to visit again. We had a very pleasant meal in a very nice atmosphere and enjoyed talking old times with the waitress. The rare filet mignon was perfect and the Lemon Pepper Cod was delicious. I'm sorry we waited so long to go back.

Smoke on the Water BBQ
Rt 33 East, 1455 Allegheny Hwy, ElkinsGreat place for a bbq dinner. Lots of seating, good food, prompt service. Our table had wings, pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. The ribs were the standout and I would get those every time, they had a great combination of smoke and grilling and a selection of sauces to add to them. The brisket was the weakest link and lacked the tenderness you’d hope for in great brisket. Overall a great experience.
