It's typical a groomer will have some treats or what not, but this space was STOCKED with goodies for both cats and dogs. We couldn’t leave without grabbing a few things, and will definitely drop in again next time we are in town.

1605 Old Rte 219, ElkinsMy kitten was waiting to be fixed at her current vet and the weekend before developed a pyometra- requiring emergency surgery. My vet couldn’t get her in and after calling everywhere I felt helpless as no one could get her in the same day for the surgery. After calling Allegheny Vet. Services, they were able to get us in asap. I drove there and was greeted and reassured by the kindest staff. A couple hours went by and I received a txt that the surgery went well and she was resting. I was able to take her home the same evening. Thank God I found them and so thankful for their quick and compassionate care.

Our first experience with BBQ in this region of the country didn’t turn out so good; but this place knows how to cook some BBQ and I’m glad we gave them a try. Being from the Deep South we know BBQ so we can say the food from Smoked BBQ of Elkins was legit and completely satisfactory.

35 Scenic Ridge Road, ElkinsLocated in a beautiful mountain setting just a few minutes from downtown Elkins, this is truly one of the finest dining experiences you will find in West Virgina and far beyond! Their attention to every detail is remarkable, the presentations are first class, and the flavor of each dish is outstanding! I highly suggest the six course tasting menu. The atmosphere is comforting and inviting, with beautiful mountain views. The service is also extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Along with a great dining menu, they are also known for their wonderfully hand-crafted cocktails, and an extensive wine list. We will be retuning!

Smoke on the Water BBQ
Rt 33 East, 1455 Allegheny Hwy, ElkinsFood wasn’t seasoned well and the homemade chips weren’t cooked all the way so they weren’t crispy but rather soggy and rubbery and inedible.
The “burnt ends” (if that’s what they’re trying to call them) weren’t good at all. Not tender and no smoke flavor at all. It’s almost like they took some brisket and cut it into cubes and threw em in the oven for a while and served it with BBQ sauce. We weren’t pleased with that appetizer that for certain.
Our service wasn’t the best either. Our waitress never came back around to ask did we need a refill.
But hey, not all places are 4 & 5 star restaurants. Hard to get it all right night in and night out.
