Preface, Dr. Leadman and veterinarians provide efficient care. Not only for my family, but per multiple cases and clients.
The issue, vet technicians. Tall, imposing. Most recent visit marred by emotionless unprofessionalism. Hostile to client, aggressive mishandling of the animal. The tone disrupted the animal's need for additional care, the little one unable to proceed further due to extreme stressors inflicted by said employees.
Specific, attitude inflated during pet's weighing. Most egregious, the technicians described the animal as aggressive with difficult handling.
* Note: the vet countered the tech's statement with an apologetic text message. Much appreciated.
On exit, tech barked for my family member to go ahead and pay for presumed additional procedures.
If and when the technicians are terminated, above review will be happily amended.

Terrible service, my dog broke his back and they basically told me to put him in a crate and leave him and bring him back in two weeks, they didn’t tell me how to help him use the bathroom or anything since he’s paralyzed

Elk Valley Veterinary Hospital, in conjunction with Valley West Veterinary Hospital is the best, from the caring staff, to the top notch Doctors. They care about your pets, and treat them like their own.

I take my two little fur babies there for every little thing they need. They have the best veterinarians. I really like all of them. But my fur babies really love Dr. Marshall. My fur babies get very anxious when they get there but they calm right down when they hear Dt. Marshall’s voice. He is so caring, compassionate and kind to all the animals and people too. The staff is absolutely amazing. They are so helpful, caring, understanding people I’ve met in an office. I highly recommend the Elk Valley Veterinary Clinic in Elkview, WV.for all of your pets from the smallest to the largest.

My dogs were well cared for by Dr. Marshall and staff. Neither dog is a good patient yet everyone demonstrated incredible patience with their escape driven behavior. We went for a routine exam and were beyond surprised to find one dog had anaplasmosis. I am grateful to have knowledge of this and to immediately begin treating it. Overall, I am very pleased and thankful for EVVH.

My wife took our bulldog in today for a visit and the veterinarian acted as if she didn’t even want our dog to touch her. And then they catch an attitude when my wife asks if they can pick him up to put him on the table because she’s pregnant (he’s over 50lb). On top of that he was breathing hard (as anyone who has owned an English bulldog or frenchie would know) and they asked her to hold his mouth shut because he was too loud. And lastly, they won’t even give a simple flee pill for any of your other animals unless you bring them in to be seen which is absurd and simply looking for money as it’s a $54 fee just to bring them in. Will not be back with any of our animals.

Best vet to take your pet! Dr. Leadmon is the best! Margaret is always helpful at the front desk. I wouldn’t trust my 4 furr babies with anyone else. Highly recommended!!!!!

Everyone there is absolutely amazing and they treat my dog like family . They her by name and are always happy to see her. The doctors the techs and the people behind the desk are very knowledgeable and speak to you like they have known you and your pets forever.
