Wish I was there. I bet the smells of hardwood and hardware and stuff would just take me right back home! Of course when I was a kid, it would've been accompanied by the smells of whiskey or rum flavored pipe tobacco, and/or cigars. I don't smoke, and am against it, but I always loved those smells in the old timey hardware and feed stores and such. People in big cities would have a (fake) heartattack and a stroke now. ?I'm from West Virginia, a few dozen miles from here. Had to leave decades ago for employment. Miss it.”
