“Dollar General gives a great view of their company from the outside looking in. However the company works you like a slave, for wages that are laughable.
You have far too much workload piled onto you, with the company refusing to give the hours needed to have enough employees to complete tasks in the given time.
I thought it was just a case of bad store management when I received zero training when starting the job, however I learned that it was the same everywhere when I talked with other employees from other stores.
You are expected to have no other job than Dollar General, or risk termination due to unavailability, even when they cut hours down to under 10 a week.
If you have issues due to poor management, lack of materials to complete a task or malfunctioning equipment”
