After paying extra for complete Geek squad protection for 2 years (despite the numerous horror stories I had read) covering any mechanical failures of my newly purchased optoma hd142x projector, I experienced issues. After speaking & confirming coverage with best buy customer service, I drove over an hr to my closest store. After waiting around over an hour, I was denied service at Best buy in Charleston, WV. I was told that my service was cancelled when it absolutely was not. After driving back home over an hr away ( 2hrs+ & $5 in tolls), I contacted Best buy CS AGAIN. Was ONCE AGAIN TOLD BY A SUPERVISOR I WITHOUT A DOUBT WAS COVERED on a recorded line. ( which I informed the agent of.) Once again I called Charleston, WV Best buy only to be berated by a geek squad "manager". I was put on hold for almost 2 hrs, then while trying to explain to her what I have been through and that I was told if there were any questions for her to contact CS, SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!!!! The WORST customer service I have EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE. Beyond rude, unhelpful, belittling & confrontational. I feel totally helpless & swindled. My family and I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars on Microsoft Surfaces, 2 1080p projectors, 5 tablets, galaxy s5 (at retail of $750) unlocked galaxy note 8 ( at retail of $900) 3 Surface keyboards at $149 each, 2 active (shutter) 3d glasses, to mention a few. We have a best buy CC. I have never been so disappointed & screwed by a company we have been so loyal to. Thia has to be fixed or I will be forced to take any and all action possible to get this travesty resolved.
