“Been a customer for years, but tonight was a very disappointing experience. Dennis stated that he was a manager, but the level of service and professionalism did not meet my expectations from the start.
I specifically needed assistance from someone knowledgeable with bow setup and service, and unfortunately, I did not feel confident in the assistance I received. What made the experience even more frustrating was being charged for the service while also purchasing accessories for the bow during the same visit. Given the circumstances and the overall level of service provided, that made very little sense to me.
I’ve continued coming to Cabela’s because of the experiences I’ve had over the years, which is why tonight was particularly disappointing. When a customer comes in looking for specialized archery assistance, they should be able to rely on knowledgeable service and professional customer care.
Based on tonight’s experience, if you’re looking for knowledgeable bow setup or service, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
UPDATE: I spoke with Neil, the Store Manager, today regarding my experience. Neil took the time to listen to my concerns, understand what happened, and resolve the issue. I have to give credit where credit is due — Neil is a class act and handled the situation exactly the way I would expect a store manager to handle a customer concern.
My original experience was disappointing, but Neil’s professionalism and willingness to address it made a significant difference. As a longtime customer, I appreciate a company and its leadership stepping up when something doesn’t go right.
