A well run museum of toys and model trains. It was very cool to see a HO DM & IR Yellowstone locomotive! Very clean museum. I had an enjoyable visit!

Super quiet on a Sunday morning. The people running it really seem to care about and are knowledgeable about everything in the museum and will gladly speak to the items further or answer any questions you have. The museum itself is nicely broken down by room and floor- the entire bottom floor is a 15,000+ piece Peanuts collection, the middle floor broken up by board games, model/slot cars, miniatures and dolls with the top floor being the trains and Americana type toys and memorabilia. They have also put together the largest commercially sold puzzle, which is Disney themed. Plan one to two hours here! If you are coming with kids, there are multiple displays/areas they are also welcome to play with/in (and are clearly marked). If you are into Peanuts, toys or American history- this is a must visit. They seem to have Groupons running often, which can save you on admission costs.

This museum was fantastic!! It is a small place, but it is well organized and presented in a way that engages both adults and children. Each room is focused on a type of toy and features something for the kids to play with in the center of the room, allowing parents to browse the exhibits on the walls. Several rooms have interactive displays (model trains, Knex, Lego). There are several very impressive displays and some classic toys available for kids to play with.
We could have spent a couple hours perusing all the museum had to offer. Very fun!!

this is such an awesome place with so much nostalgia. i did not expect there to be so much to see! from the largest peanuts collection in the world, to the intricate train sets, and all the toys for the kids to play with, this place is a gem and we will definitely be back when we have more time! also despite being such an old building it is handicap accessible which is a huge plus. you just have to ask for the elevator and they’ll get you where you need to go. great owners, super knowledgeable and really loves his history. and i love that it’s affordable! we came home with many toys from the gift shop because we could actually afford to do so. loved everything about this place.

Great museum with a diverse selection of historic items. There are model trains here of various scales, the Marx Toys section, puzzles, board games, knex, and more. Many of the displays are interactive for the younger crowd. Lots of Marx Toys which was fun to see especially the huge Big Loo robot. If you are a Peanuts fan there's a whole level dedicated to that collection.
Very friendly curator too.
The museum skews to a younger demographic but I feel older adults would actually enjoy this place most. The museum is in a repurposed historic school building with beautiful tin ceilings and moulding. Lots of the original details of the building remain down to the art deco era restrooms.
For those musically inclined, I found about 5 different antique pianos sprinkled about the place. Fun to play each of them while appreciating the workmanship and "old timey" tuning they've all developed.
If I was a local I'd go multiple times. As an out of towner, its an easy recommendation for anyone going through the Pittsburgh -> Wheeling area.

What a lovely museum! We came here on the way to Indiana as a "stretch our legs" pitstop. The lady at the front was so nice. The museum was clean and had a lot of cool things to see, as well as hands on things for the kiddos.
Would deff recommend you stop by in your travels. We walked through in about 1.5 hours or so.

This was our second trip with Grandchildren and they loved it. Greeters were wonderful and there was a few kittens there up for adoption. Was hard not to take one.
Our complaint was the non functional interactive displays. With 6 months between visits we were hoping they would have been fixed by now. 8 out 10 buttons did not work, so it was disappointing for kids. Some of the displays looked very dirty and dusty as well. For what is being charged now, all displays should be in working order.

WOW would I would recommend to anyone! They have all sorts of treasures from the Past to the Present. The staff were amazing and even told me about how they got exhibits. They even gave me information on a Modal Train Show they are going to be having in December. The caboose outside looked pristine. All the exhibits inside were working when you pressed the button and some of them that were on display looked the same when they were probably bought! I don't wanna post any pictures so you can go and see this beautiful place! A must see for anyone who is into History, Trains or Collectibles. I would also say kids would enjoy this place as well. There were kids there when I toured the place. Again all I can say is WOW

This place is enough to make even a crabby wife smile and enjoy herself. A real treat. Spend some time with staff for some stories as well
