Incident date, 8/19/24, around 3:15pm-3:50pm.
A Spanish-speaking gentleman came to the Verizon store to pay his bill in cash. According to the female employee, she “explained to him” that she could not find his account, but also told him she would take the cash anyway. In addition, apparently, she told him that if she took his cash, it could not be refunded.
Clearly, the Spanish-speaker didn't understand the interaction. Once he realized there was no receipt or that his account balance hadn't decreased, he asked for a refund. The employee would not refund his $50.
This is when I was called by a bystander to translate (who will be closing her account with you after this incident). I did not personally know the Spanish-speaker.
I spoke directly with the Verizon employee and attempted to ask the following clarification questions:
Why did you take the money if there was no account?
Under what account number did you credit the $50?
Why can't you give the money back?
Can I speak with someone above you?
Now that there is confusion, do you understand that there is a language barrier?
It was very difficult to get through these questions because your employee was constantly speaking over and interrupting me, did not value my translation services, was hostile and disrespectful, and disregarded his English proficiency. She refused to answer any questions.
Once I realized that the Verizon employee could just pocket the money since there was no record or account, I questioned where the money would go. Finally, after bystanders took charge and stood up for him, the client was refunded as he departed.
We would have loved to speak to a manager for some kind of rebuttal or explanation. However, the employee kicked out the Spanish-speaker and the bystander who called me since, the employee “was calling the police.”
This location needs anti-racism education and training on customer service and how to open a register to refund cash.

Been to this location 2 times and have been disappointed both times by the unhelpfulness of the personnel working there. Was told by Verizon, over the phone, that I just had to walk in the store and show my ID and I could pick up my device I ordered, paid for and signed for online. Rush after work to get there. Finally got to the store 15 minutes before it closed, ID in hand and was told she wasn’t processing any more orders for the day and to come back tomorrow. I cancelled the order and told Verizon I would drive or wait but so was not going back to that store again. Next time I will definitely ask for an actual Verizon store as they are always extremely helpful. Worth the drive to get better service!

Awful experience from the sales associate Jami, I asked for assistance with a new phone and was told I’m an immigrant and cannot buy a phone at this store. Disgusting attitude and really bad for business. Just by the way I’m living here for 10 years!

I’m a new customer and received HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! VERY RUDE EMPLOYEES!! Jami - sales associate (with the pink hair) is quick to make a sale but has no patience for customer care when you need help with an issue. Her co worker with the (blonde hair) is just as rude and blunt. Also forget about speaking to a manager because they do not have one at this store (literally). I highly regret taking out a plan with Verizon and buying unnecessary accessories with Jami. Will not recommend this store or Verizon to anyone!!

DO NOT go to this "Verizon Store". An employee blatantly lies to us, getting us to commit to a device, informing us that the credit will be applied within 2 to 3 months. 3 months later we are informed that the information was incorrect...that it is too late...and that we are stuck paying for the unwanted device. And all of the information is documented in THEIR system showing what the employee promised...incorrectly....and they STILL will not do anything!!!! Absolutely ridiculous!!! Over a decade of being a Verizon customer and this is how we are treated?!?!
