Stein's Garden & Home

Home Decor , Nurseries & Gardening
Hours: Stein’s Garden & Home has been a proud part of Wisconsin since 1946, offering a wide range of products for gardening and outdoor living. Customers appreciate the great selection of plants available throughout the season, including houseplants, orchids, and rescue plants that often do well after purchase. The store features a variety of indoor plants, with some offered at affordable prices in their clearance section, making it a popular spot for plant enthusiasts. Visitors often find the plant selection to be good, especially for houseplants and holiday décor, and they sometimes find special items like miniature cider bushes at discounted prices. However, some customers note that the staff may not have in-depth knowledge about specific plant care topics such as soil acidity, zones, fertilizer use, or plant diseases. For detailed horticultural advice, it is recommended to consult a horticulturist or landscape professional. The store also offers a selection of pots, potting soils, barks, and sphagnum moss, though some wish for more variety in these areas. Customers have also purchased items like plant stands from Stein’s and enjoy browsing the rescue plant area. While the store is loved for its friendly shopping experience, it is advised to quarantine new plants to prevent pests such as mealy bugs and thrips. Overall, Stein’s Garden & Home is a reliable destination for gardening supplies, plants, and outdoor décor, with loyal customers returning for their gardening needs.
