“Simple budget hotel.
Room was clean. Comfy bed n pillows. Good size room. Building No smell and properly maintained but it is old.
Pool is frigid cold. But whirlpool was nice, not very hot
Breakfast was acceptable but could be better.
Ran out of hot foods. But there was the usual breads, bagel, muffins, yogurt, boiled eggs and waffle.
They need a water fountain.”

“Ellie has created a destination location minutes away from Lake Michigan. The entire staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and decorated so they don't feel like your typical hotel stay. From the always open kitchen to the buffet dinners and breakfast they created for us, the food was delicious and perfect. For a small family gathering or just a weekend getaway, the Highland Lodge will definitely fit your needs. Yes it is handicapped accessible and they did meet our dietary restrictive needs as well. Awesome place to stay?”
