“This is an amazing place to take your pets for their health care. We trust Back to Basics with our four cats and two dogs. My husband’s family has used their services for a long time and when we got married in 2013 I started going there. Recently our 11.5 year old dog has had some serious health problems and we know that his time is coming to an end. They are quick to respond to our questions and have made time to see him even though they were fully booked. The veterinarian even called us one evening to discuss our dog’s health and listen to our concerns. If I could, I would give them 10 stars.”

They were so caring, kind, sincere, and extremely knowledgeable! They took so much time to answer any and all questions. “They are a high quality vet but also on the higher end of price as well. They require yearly checkups to keep filling the prescription for your pets flea and tick medicine or any other prescriptions which is a little annoying but I guess understandable.”
“It's the day after Xmas, so finishing a very easy difficult, but this place was open... Points there. And let me tell you, what an amazing experience for my senior Chihuahua, Stash, and me! Such lovely and kind staff, and the prices are unbeatable. The exam was $92, yearly blood work and fecal testing is only $125. And the chest X-ray, if I had elected it, was less than $300. I've never paid this little for such amazing care. Very pleased!! Thank you so much!!!”

“This is the best place for animals with behavioral issues. My chihuahua sees Dr Mcclanahan for behavioral support. The clinic’s fear free approach really supports him and he’s stopped panicking when he goes to the vet. He was a frequent flyer for a bit with a broken paw. He got incredible care and it has healed really well. Very appreciative of the whole team and how well they take care of Jimmy Chew.”
“Our animals have been patients of Dr. Miller’s for almost 15 years. She is extremely intelligent and thorough, and she has a deep love for animals. Her staff is SO accommodating. I had a special needs cattle dog for 14 years and they catered every appointment around her & her disabilities. I am a very nervous & helicopter dog parent and trust her and her staff completely.”
“I wanted to personally thank you for taking the time to help my granddaughter, who lives in Chicago. Even though it was after hours, and she wasn’t your patient, Dr Joe called her when her cat was experiencing what appeared to be a urinary track issue. She was frightened after being told the treatment would cost about $3000. Dr Joe‘s calm, reassurance, thoughtful advice, and suggestions for more affordable treatment options made an incredible difference and eased her anxiety. I am truly grateful for everything you did.”
“Today I was able to my dog Theo in right away!! I'm so thankful for that. The Tech Brandy and Dr. Keen, both made sure that Theo and I felt comfortable. They diagnose what was wrong and explained what needed to be done. When I had to call back to get some help figuring out how to get the medicine into his eye the staff on the phone explained it well. I was successful in getting the medicine into my wiggly little guy's eye!! Thank you everyone at Capital City Vet!!! You ALL are so helpful and kind!!”

“Dr. Lynne has been seeing Millie for a few years now. Miss Millie had ear mites as a rescued kitten and some congestion. I was mostly interested in preventative care, keeping Millie healthy and happy for as long as possible. Most recently Millie was very phlegmy and Lynne cleared her sinuses in a way I didn’t know was possible! She had no phlegm or gurgles after one treatment! We love Dr. Lynne, her office is welcoming, she’s skilled and professional. Millie & I are grateful for her presence and her care!”

They are ALWAYS willing to go the extra mile to assist whenever possible! There aren't any words to express how rare THIS kind of service is provided anywhere anymore in this day and age! My family has had our pets (my kiddos) going there the ENTIRE duration of my 42 (almost 43) years of age!!
