“In this time like others I did scan and go, and I locked it and I can't continue to pay, but the same Sam's club in the same app, provide me 2 bar codes, 1 for pay at checkout it was my Sam's card and the second bar code to pass the item on San and go to the register and easier to pay, I don't have to scan all the products again, once again I'm thankful for it”

“I'm updating my previous post, as Keval (Ascension pharmacist) saved the day. After previously getting very unconcerned, nonchalant responses, I finally got connected with Keval. He was the first person to apologize profusely and acknowledge the seriousness of the error. He took the responsibility to correct my prescriptions, did not charge me for them again, and even offered to have them couriered to my house. He discovered the entry error and acknowledged the problem. I would give him 5+ stars, but I only raised the overall rating to 4 stars, as the initial errors were still very egregious.

I hate to have to provide this review, but I am literally stunned by the level of incompetence regarding this issue at Ascension. After writing endless positive reviews about my personal physician, who is incredible, I cannot believe how badly my prescriptions have been messed up. One of the assistants at my physicians office suggested I use the in-house pharmacy for Ascension, even though it's located in a different city from the actual doctor's office. They implied it would be seamless and I could get my prescriptions quicker- so I moved my prescriptions over from Walgreens.

I called the new pharmacy on a Monday to discuss what prescriptions I needed and getting them filled. The woman I spoke with was very pleasant. On Friday I got a text that my prescriptions were ready. I stopped in Friday late afternoon to pick up 2 prescriptions, and did not have to wait at all. So far, so good. Then I got home and took the prescriptions out of the bag.

Initially I was surprised, as the first prescription was the correct, drug, but for the wrong dosage level. That made me check the second prescription more closely, and it turns out this prescription was the wrong drug entirely! I needed potassium CHLORIDE to raise my levels of potassium, and I was given potassium CITRATE which apparently is a drug given to people with kidney stones.

To reiterate- on a late Friday afternoon, I received two prescriptions which were both incorrect. One wrong dosage, and one entirely wrong bottle of pills. Of course no location at Ascension is open on Sat or Sun, so now I'll need to wait more days (now 10 days and counting) to still try and get the correct prescriptions.

I've lived in all regions of the country, and have never received an incorrect prescription, let alone two! What if I were 30 yrs older and had no idea whether the pills were correct, but just took what was given to me? What if the wrong potassium prescription had been something contraindicated? I literally could have been missing a drug I needed, while taking one I didn't, virtually indefinitely, if I had not proactively caught the problem myself.

What type of qualifications do these people have? I can't believe that a physician, a physician's assistant, a pharmacist, and a pharmacy tech, all combined, could not manage to understand or notate the difference between potassium chloride and potassium citrate. This is completely unacceptable, and could have potentially resulted in a serious situation.

To be this disorganized and careless is beyond problematic, and potentially illegal. I love my Doctor, but the back office side of Ascension is clearly broken, and involves people who either do not know their job, or cannot perform it properly.”
