“I ordered online an otr microwave. Received a text that they did not have it in stock and will get a refund. I never got a confirmation on my refund so I went to the store. Talked to 2 employees and they couldn't seem to help me out so one of the staff grabbed Cody. Cody took me to the microwave section look into the microwave and helped me select another microwave in stock. Took me to the front and and checked me out. And I just paid for the difference. That was an excellent customer service by Cody.”

Just wanted to give a big thanks to Joe over in the Lumber Department. I came in with a pretty rough idea for a project I was working on, and he really helped me pull it all together. He knew exactly what I needed, gave me solid advice on what wood would hold up best, and even helped with figuring out some of the cuts to make things easier for me later on.
Super friendly, easy to talk to, and you can tell he knows his stuff. He made the whole process way smoother than I expected. If you’re working on something and not quite sure where to start, go find Joe—he’ll get you set up right.

“Menards is a staple in midwestern home renovation. But you really need to be a frequent customer to get the most out of it. Employees are mostly just unskilled shelve stockers, who know nothing about actual home improvement. That said, I imagine having more knowledgeable employees would raise the cost of employees and Menards already caters more to the commercial market than they do the general DIYer. And I highly recommend using the app to figure out where stuff is in the store before you get here as most of the staff have no idea where anything is.”
