However, this location has really turned around in the past couple of months. I can only guess that it is under new management. “Merci Mimi is a unique, small neighborhood shop in the Washington Heights area of Tosa on 59th Street, at Vliet Street. Owner/proprietor Kim's forte is furniture refinishing in a "Shabby Chic" style in her workshop at the back of the store. The front of the store is the shop's retail area that displays and sells various items including vintage linens, picture frames, plates, glassware, jewelry and accessories that are a definite draw for designers and vintage collectors. This is a great place for those folks who appreciate antiques and the "Shabby Chic" style and is a definite place to stop when shopping for those who are vintage fans.”

They have come a long way from a couple years ago after changing managmeent that ensures reliable dependable employees stay and the rest need to find a different job! “The best of the 'hardware' stores. I like being able to look up items I need online and seeing where they are located in the store ahead of time, which saves a lot of time. Service is great, and employees are knowledgeable. Only wish they would still cut plywood and plexiglass to size like they did in the past. Must be some liability thing now. Otherewise, an all-around awesome experience for any home needs.”
