Burnett Dairy Cooperative, located near Grantsburg, Wisconsin, is a farmer-owned cooperative with a rich history dating back to 1896. It is one of the few full-service cooperatives still producing cheese today, guided by a Wisconsin Master Cheesemaker®. The cooperative offers a wide variety of award-winning cheeses, known for their inventive flavors and high quality, serving retail, deli, foodservice, and private-label customers. Visitors can explore over 100 varieties of cheese, along with wine, gourmet products, soft and hard ice cream, frozen yogurt, and enjoy a meal at the Bistro. The nearby General Store provides animal feed, garden and sporting supplies, gasoline, propane, and other essentials. The business is popular for its large cheese selection, hot food, and delicious deep-fried cheese curds. The Mozzarella at Cossetta Alimentary, in St. Paul, sells the Fancy brand mozzarella. I asked where the cheese is made and found out it’s from Burnett Dairy. We had to go see this place. This is a must stop for any cheese lover. Huge selection of cheeses, meat snacks, and so much more. The restaurant and ice cream shop are great! It can get a bit busy at times, but it is always well worth the stop. I recommend the pepperjack beef sticks, and the golden jack cheese is one of my faves
