“I needed 3 cubic yards of a good garden soil mix delivered to me in Milwaukee. I have volunteered with Victory Garden Initiative for almost 20 years, and knew they get their great soil from Blue Ribbon Organics. Placing my order was quick and easy, and to my surprise, they were able to do the delivery the next morning. On schedule, Daniel showed up with a truck and dumped 3 yards of beautiful soil exactly where I asked. Couldn't ask for better than that. Their price was a bit higher than some other places, but I'm sure the quality of what Blue Ribbon brought me was much better than from others. Our plants will be very happy!”
“Seeing the photos did not do justice to the feeling of waking in... I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of plants and trying to decide where to look first.The greenhouse is FULL and luscious. Huge plants hanging overhead. Multiples of plants so you can pick which one is your favorite. Incredibly reasonable prices, especially considering the size. The walkways are narrow, but it's a jungle vibe and only adds to the ambiance. The owner was onsite and personally wrapped every plant we purchased. (It's still winter) He shared his story and it was clear to see his passion for being there. I only wish it was closer as I would be back ALL. THE. TIME. ?”

“(July 2025 update: They are closed for the season. The plants we bought are thriving. In June before they shut down, they had a 50% off sale, and we bought more plants. Only a few hanging baskets were left.) MAY 2025: Beautiful Flowers. Hanging baskets and combo containers are very well done. It's enjoyable just being in the greenhouses, watching people buy and plan their gardens. Prices have gone up since the pandemic, but it's our go-to for homegrown plants. The prices in the photos are as of May 2025.”

“Zach/Zack in hardware helped me find what I was looking for, and gave me more details about what I needed to get for my project. This is the Home Depot I always go to, but this was the first day that anyone has ever approached me to see if I needed help finding things/figuring out what was appropriate to get for the job. I’ve always sought workers out, but he approached me right away, probably knowing that I was just trying to figure things out on my own.

“I always pay my bill in-store due to a previous issue that happened. That being stated, that's why I give them a 4 star rating. They send me, like 7 to 8 reminders ( per month) that my bill is due. However, going in to pay it, I end up waiting for someone at the service desk. They need more help at the desk or some just (specifically) designated to take customer's payments.”
“Trust me I have NEVER gushed about a big box home improvement place until now. I think there might be a new manager because I heard this woman making sure that all of the associates were greeting all of the guests. Fantastic! They are well staffed and if you ask where to find something you get an immediate response and sometimes they will take you to the aisle to find the product. Years ago this location was a ghost town and you had to hunt down people - now they are available in almost every location. They had an awesome sale on mulch so I needed 50 bags purchased over two trips. Each time a nice kid would help me load the truck because it is back breaking to lift those bags. Today I drove my heavy cart down the wrong aisle and had to load my car from the cart that was hanging in the other row. An associate saw me struggling, pulled my cart over the curb and again helped me load my car! Kudos to HD for a great improvement experience. Also next time you are there notice that each area of the store has a different vibe. People doing home improvements aren't as happy as the people shopping the garden aisle!”

Just wanted to give a big thanks to Joe over in the Lumber Department. I came in with a pretty rough idea for a project I was working on, and he really helped me pull it all together. He knew exactly what I needed, gave me solid advice on what wood would hold up best, and even helped with figuring out some of the cuts to make things easier for me later on.
Super friendly, easy to talk to, and you can tell he knows his stuff. He made the whole process way smoother than I expected. If you’re working on something and not quite sure where to start, go find Joe—he’ll get you set up right.
