“Stopped by on a snowmobile day trip. We were in desperate need for fuel for our sleds, unfortunately it was before Thursday business hours. We were able to get ahold of the owners and they turned the fuel pump on for us and we had a good visit. Looks like a very fun place with outstanding owners. Thanks again guys!”

“I visited here in August 2025. We were warmly welcomed by Kelly (maybe, I call everyone Kelly) in that way that you have to be nice to the customers and you can tell kills them slowly each time but they continue on for the love of the game. You give them a smile and you both know that you have to fake it or you'll end up destitute down at the casino at four am with some new best friends with interesting life stories. Help Kelly out, get down here and treat yourself.”

“Musky Tale Resort in Hayward is pure Northwoods chaos (the good kind).The pizza is legitimately amazing, like, “I might start a second career as a pizza critic just to keep coming back” level good. The owner Lisa and her brothers were ridiculously nice and accommodating. Felt like we were hanging out at a friend’s cabin instead of a resort. Pudding shots? Off the absolute hook. TouchTunes player got a solid workout. The souvenir shop is dangerous, hats, sweatshirts, apparel everywhere. Left with way more merch than planned and zero regrets.The decor is next-level. Fish and animals everywhere on the walls, and somehow there are beaver pelts hanging from the ceiling. Peak Wisconsin. We’re already planning the next trip. Highly recommend if you like great pizza, friendly people, and a little taxidermy over your head while you drink.”
