13901W Pfeifer Rd, HaywardI ordered a kit for the slider sled last winter. My dad and I assembled it with no issues. Someone with very basic shop skills could assemble the kit without too much trouble since the directions are clear and most pieces are labeled. I would suggest assembling with a buddy just for extra ease!We sealed it as recommended and it was a great source of fun all winter! We just sled occasionally as a hobby with our two dogs, and our Samoyed in particular loves it. It’s a great sled to learn on and a fair price for a quality item. I highly recommend the kit!

Hayward Animal Hospital
15226 Co Rd B, HaywardOur Mini Dachsund Pauly fell during a construction project in Danbury and he was in severe pain and unable to walk. Hayward Animal Hospital was the only veterinarian clinic in a 60 mile radius that would see him for an urgent visit. He had multiple pelvic fractures requiring surgery and I’m sure he would have died had the veterinary staff there not been willing to help us. His Dr. was absolutely amazing and no doubt saved our dogs life with his wonderful surgical skills. It was a rough rehab but our dog is now able to walk again and run. He can go down stairs and is working on going up a few. He doesn’t seem to be in pain any more and we are truly so thankful to the Hayward Animal Hospital for their excellent care and compassion. I will always be grateful!!

10560 W 2nd St, HaywardThis is THE place for Mexican food in Hayward! They are family-run and doing their best to make absolutely everything in-house and it shows.
First visit - torta - they make their own bread and didn't bat an eye when I asked for something they didn't actually have on the menu. My order was a chicken torta with a little chorizo added. A little chorizo goes a long way and really elevated the dish. This is not so much a pick it up and eat it sandwich as one that you have to attack with a knife and fork initially or you'll wear it. Once you eat it down to sandwich levels, you'll be amazed at what a great sandwich they make. Vegetables were bountiful, fresh, crisp and tasty. Chicken was so tender and juicy. Chorizo was well-cooked and not greasy but incredibly flavorful. All-around great experience!
Second visit - enchiladas - also a chicken dish and the same quality chicken was inside those rolled-up bits of deliciousness. Their green sauce had a LOT going on and was really yummy. The dish came with rice and beans on the side that I largely ignored. The real star of the dish was covered in sauce and every bite confirmed my decision.
I'm not a Tres Leches fan but their version is not to be missed. Wow!

The food is amazing and affordable. It is pub atmosphere with a supper club menu. Their plentiful hand-dipped juicy chicken tenders are a delicacy as are their homemade ribs. 8225 N County Rd CC, HaywardWe didn’t stay here but stopped at the restaurant. Every employee was super friendly, service was fast and the homemade carrot cake was amazing! The cheese curds came with fries which was a pleasant surprise and both were yummy. I even bought a giant loaf of their cranberry wild rice bread and can’t wait to try it later! Definitely would stop again.
