We came here by a happy accident; thought we were going to the National Horicon Wildlife Refuge location (so note there are different buildings on opposite ends of the Marsh) This WI DNR managed location was well-staffed and full of engaging educational activities and great hiking paths. Very enthusiastic volunteers on duty too!

Lovely way to spend the morning with our 3 & 7 yr olds. We loved the photo blinds to peek at the pelicans, story book walk and the boardwalk was magical with lots of ? sightings.Paths are mostly gravel, easy and wide to walk on- and a jogger style stroller would be fine for the portions of trail near welcome center.Welcome center is beautiful with a kids area, snapping turtle and the gift shop is well curated. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly and next trip we will make use of one of their backpacks- lots of themed activities.Next trip will also include a trip to sweet peas ice cream shop in mayville after!

I got here too late in the day to check out the basement museum, but I did get to hike on the trails around the marsh. It is very beautiful scenery and a chance to get closer to the wildlife and take some pictures.

A great visit and amazing lower level addition, well worth the few bucks cost for such a great presentation of the ice age and impact to the marsh. Plus a great 2.3 mile hike around the inner channel.

Great for bird watching, nice large trail. Trail is grassy, uneven, rocky. Best for foot traffic. Beautiful.

Vistor center gave us info on walking driving and kayaking the marsh. We saw pelicans, ducks, and turtles. Wish we had seen more. Bring binoculars.

What isn't to love about Horicon Marsh! The visitors center is great with a lot of history about the Marsh. They also do a lot of fun. Guided hikes throughout the year!

This is a beautiful place. The building itself is well organized. We were greeted by a friendly woman who is full of knowledge. The museum located downstairs is worth the low entrance fee. I won't give it away but there's a fun activity in the museum that kids will enjoy! There are a few great photo opps too!

The deer Wall of Shame was great although sad - illegally harvested buck racks. I need to go back in the Fall during migration.
