“Jam packed (in an orderly way) with collectibles and comics. I don’t collect comics and based on the pictures I didn’t think there was going to be much for me to find. Fair prices on a lot of the figures and sets I was interested in. So glad I stopped in, I’ll definitely be back!”

“If you’re into classic cars or auto racing, this is the place for you. Tons of diecast and plastic model kits, along with advertising and auto memorabilia. Plan to spend some time here if you want to see most everything. I usually tour the store 2 to 3 times before I leave because there’s always that item that you missed the first time that you walked around. Cal is super friendly and is a wealth of knowledge.”

“Nice roadside antique store with lots of local antiques. Very large selection of beer-related items due to the vicinity of Milwaukee. Very clean and well kept store. Bought a couple of unique items, would put this on my list of places to stop at again.”

“The store is so peaceful, beautiful merchandise for yourself or gifts for others. In spring through fall, they also have an outside garden area to shop. It’s my go to! Also, the candles are amazing!”

“I've visited many antique shops and malls, and I recently visited Metropolitan Antiques and Gifts for the first time. I can say it's become my favorite antique store. It's small, but both times I've visited, I've found what I'm looking for and more. The cashiers are very friendly; I remember one of them by name, Kate—she was very kind and helpful. The prices are unbeatable. I highly recommend it to everyone, and I will definitely be back!”

“Four buildings loaded with treasures for you and your home. A short distance from one another, paved parking lot but if walking and stairs are a great concern you may pass as the buildings are as the name says an old farm property. It is a fun place to shop( no place to eat or buy drinks on the premises). I like to visit seasonally as items in the buildings often change.”

“The stay at the Inn was so delightful. Kari has decorated the whole establishment in period antiques and you feel like you have an immediate connection to all the people in the past. Her shop is charming and Jack's Cafe is like stepping into an old tavern the food delicious--be sure and order the Killer Bread!!”

“I’ve never seen so many authentic MCM pieces in one place. I came into Mid Century Meow to buy a set of MCM tiki carvings and left completely blown away. The idea of finding so many amazing pieces under one roof would never even have occurred to me, but there they were. Everything is original—no reproductions—just quality craftsmanship and truly timeless design.”

“Such a GREAT place to shop for interesting vintage items. We shop here often. I collect quite a few different items, I found them all here and more!!! Great selection of jewelry, antiques, collectibles, mid-century modern, vintage, retro….you won’t be disappointed. My Husband collects matchbox cars, beer memorabilia & sports collectibles. We both come home with bags of goodies each time we shop.
We like supporting small businesses and spend the day downtown Waukesha. We hit one of the hidden gem restaurants, then we shop this HUGE antique mall and finish with dessert…ice cream or chocolates at the chocolate store, bakery at Periwinkle’s……...lots of great options downtown Waukesha.”
