I got helped by one of the staff members (I think his name was Andre) and he was awesome. He did a bunch of troubleshooting on my laptop and gave me an honest estimate on the repairs. Made an appointment for a new battery, show up on time, no one’s in the lobby. Someone comes out, “oh we don’t carry batteries, we need 3-5 days” me “oh that doesn’t work for me, I would just rather mail in it to Apple.” Guy stares at me blankly, says nothing. I say alright yeah not for me then. Turn and go to leave, as I’m opening the door he shouts “okay byeeee” like he’s upset with me and makes a weird passive aggressive comment as I left. So bizzare

Tried to charge me $600 for a repair that Apple will do for $160. Also tried to convince me to buy a new computer instead; even the Apple salespeople told me I should keep my computer. Graphite was recommended to me by other businesses in the area, and my phone call with them was professional, so if you're okay with paying a $400+ small business fee, they'd probably be fine.

I visited Graphite after getting told by the Apple Store after a quick diagnostic that my computer needed a new screen that would cost $600. Graphite staff offered to open it up and check for loose cables or other mechanical problems for an $80 fee. I ended up buying a new machine, as the Apple Store was correct and my computer was old enough that a $600 repair was just not worth it. The staff at Graphite were helpful in helping me choose a new machine, also, accommodating and patient during my time of stress. Communication was a bit sparse but all in all a positive experience!

I had acquired a MacBook Pro 13 that my friend used, while assisting me. After he passed away, his family (Scholl in Richland Center) was very generous and gave it to me. They had deleted sensitive family information first. But, in doing so, the laptop would no longer connect to the internet. So, I took it into Graphite West. Although the attending representative was assisting another customer, he used his multi-tasking skills and solved my problem while he continued working on the other clients laptop and pleasing both of us. I will be purchasing a new laptop and a desktop in the near future, I will be traveling locally and internationally. I experienced a locked screen, alarm, and an urgent message to contact Microsoft because an ad sent my browser to a fake support page. My friends at Graphite were so helpful by identifying the problem and clearing the cache and insuring my device had no malware. The best part was they did this in a very friendly manner and calmed all my worries.

Took an old iPad here to see if we could get in (I forgot my password). They couldn’t get around Apple’s security but tried everything they could do and gave me a reference for another place that might be able to help.

As a thank you for their service, I’m leaving a good review for Graphite on University Ave! I was getting the run around and horrible attitudes from other repairs shops with finding a screwdriver for me to borrow to replace my computer battery. Graphite offered their own screwdrivers and let me repair it myself free of charge in the store. I appreciated their customer service!
