Just wanted to write a review here to thank the clerk I worked with (I think her name was Steph?) for all her hard work! This is the second time I have stopped in to find that she was the only one working. As I arrived today, I ran into an angry customer storming out and yelling at the clerk. I understand that it is frustrating to wait in line and to be greeted by someone who is clearly overworked, but the clerks here are also human and are trying to do their best. Let this be a lesson to all: if you are planning to stop at this post office, please exercise patience and treat the employees with kindness. The office is understaffed, but it’s workers are trying to do the best they can.

Seems like a normal post office. It has one of those self-serve package machines which is nice if you just have to mail a package but don't want to wait in line. The line usually goes pretty quickly here anyway.

I dropped 3 big packages, 2 shipped, 1 lost as never get shipped. Nothing they can do...of course.
Make sure they SCAN the barcode before you leave the counter, and/or ask for the receipt.
If the package doesn't get scanned, They cannot prove that the package is dropped. They won't look at camera unless police involved. AND staff can just take it home because the mail piece never in the system.
May karma serves the thief, as the package is for the unfortunate underserved groups of kid. Shame on you.

Cannot speak for everyone, but the gentleman I met was extremely friendly and patient. He also had abundant knowledge regarding the specifics of sending passport-related material, and took care of my passport renewal material professionally.
Also, the neighborhood this USPS belongs to is (as of my post date) very quiet, soothing and safe.

They lost my package and there is a terrible support system in place for recovering packages. I’ll be using fedex from now on. Shame on me for putting my faith in a government service.

The staff at the Hilldale USPS are super professional! Special shoutout to Steve, who went beyond his way trying to help me locate an important document that was bouncing between N.Y. and W.I. due to a wrong bar code. He reported the issue to USPS consumer affairs and helped to correct the barcode. He provided constant update on the progress of the tracking, and made sure that I got the package in time. I am so grateful for having such good care from customer service at the Hilldale USPS, and would definitely recommend this office to other customers!

The postal service employee at the Hilldale post office was very helpful! He helped me complete the process to have my deceased father's mail forwarded to my address, answered all my questions, provided helpful advice, and shared sympathetic condolences. I am grateful for the exceptional customer service he provided to me, at 9am this morning, October 20, 2023.
