Jordan Braun, the auto loan specialist, was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the auto loan process. My mind was being pulled in multiple directions which caused communication on my end to not match the level Jordan has showed me through the entire ordeal and for that I am grateful. I’m currently still with UWCU with a checking, savings and auto loan account since March 2023. It’s super easy and convenient to use from their app versus having to call to make a payment or transfer funds. Thank you Jordan for being patient!

On the surface, UWCU appears to be a decent place to work with, but after using their services, annoyances surface pretty quickly. Here are the two that bug me the most:1)Their mobile app is cumbersome and very glitchy. The simple act of performing a mobile deposit takes at least twice the amount of time as Summit CU's iOS app. Also, about 1 time in 10, the app completely freezes up while trying to open it. I have the latest update.2)Since (all) debit cards are no longer made with raised numbers, the printed information wears off over time. At Summit, when I need a replacement card (NOT for lost/stolen) they always happily print a new card identical to the old one, with the same expiration and CVV. UWCU, however, says that they must change the expiration date and the CVV, which means that I now have to go through all my accounts with retailers, insurance carriers, recurring service charges and much more to change my payment information before charges fail. The teller at the UWCU Junction Rd branch even went so far as to blame Visa, saying it's their requirement. Showed her the Summit Visa debit card I also had replaced today with all of the old info. She didn't have an explanation. I know there's nothing a teller can do about it, and I probably showed too much frustration, but after about 3 years, I'll be moving my accounts to Summit. They don't amount to much, and I doubt UWCU cares, but I wanted to let people know before they find themselves in a similar situation.

Absolutely the BEST customer service I have ever experienced. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Proactive help that exceeded anything I could imagine.

I've gotten 3 loans and 2 credit cards over my ten years with UWCU, I always appreciate the service even for an out-of-stater like me.

I have been a member since the early 1980's. I think that history should tell you that I have been happy with the UW Credit Union.

I live in Appleton. There are no branches near me. Not a problem, because the online portal provides for all my banking needs.

Spoke with Alex Holmes in the loan department about our circumstances involving a vehicle that had been totaled in an accident, and needing to find a replacement vehicle to purchase prior to getting insurance settlement paperwork. He went over and above with assisting us. Returned calls promptly with answers.

When I have had fraudulent withdraws that don’t look right UWCU has been the first to find the issue and help me rectify it. The workers are always pleasant to deal with and I usually leave with a smile on my face.

I had been a member for almost 20 years and always had a great experience. This time I decided to go with UWCU for the mortgage on my new home and it was nothing but an excellent experience. Ian Warlick-Short was super helpful and awesome to work with.

I've been a member of the UWCU for most of my life, my parents got me setup shortly after I qualified by being a UW student.I've had CDs, savings, checking, auto loans, mortgages primary and secondary, lines of credit, credit cards and more from the UWCU.First, their web branch site has been the best banking website I've ever used and over the years has offered features ahead of other banks and credit unions I've used. I have always been happy with it being built and managed in-house (I think it still it is?), and with it's usability and appearance being comfortable for me instead of feeling more like 'accountant spreadsheets' that I feel from a lot of banking websites. I love the web branch!Every contact I recall with customer service over that time has been from good to great, with the people always trying to help.Their fees in my experience, while they exist, are reasonable especially compared to any banks I've looked at. (E.g. $5 overdraft at UWCU vs $25+ elsewhere)I have also had a few interactions where they've gone above and beyond to answer my questions and concerns, and plenty where they've bent over backwards to remove fees.I don't have any real criticisms. There have been refused loans or credit lines over the 30+ years I've been a member but it's always made sense when I got the information they provide.Because of my experiences with UWCU I always recommend Credit Unions in general over banks, and the UWCU in specific for anyone who can become a member.

I have been with UWCU for nearly 10 yrs and my experience overall has been generally good. Last year, my partner and I started thinking about buying a home so we attended one of their First Time Homebuyer Seminars. There, we saw Todd M. present and share info about homebuying. Afterwards, we reached out to Todd to see if he could help further discuss the Home-buying process. Todd was more than willing to help and was very responsive to emails and calls. He also was able to meet online, which we preferred. He really knows his stuff and was willing to talk things out, explain every little thing to us (as it was our first time), and he answered every question without making us feel like we were uneducated or asking too much. More importantly, he never pushed us to "Just apply for a pre-approval or Mortgage" or ever pushed us to spend more money than we had. I mention this because when we also reached out Summit Credit Union, they didn't want to speak to us until we applied for a preapproval/Mortgage. Todd helped outline the home-buying steps and calculated different scenarios and budgets for us to see real numbers, again, even before we committed to applying for a Mortgage with UWCU. He was very realistic, transparent and encouraged us to take our time to make sure we understood everything. Some months later, we eventually applied for a preapproval and bought a home with Todd as our Mortgage Officer. He helped us every step of the way and made buying our home so easy. We couldn't have asked for someone better. We will definitely be reaching out to him again when we are ready to purchase a new home in the future!

Hands down the best financial institution I have ever used. Why anyone would use some other “bank” if you can use the UW Credit Union is beyond me.

Any time I ever needed assistance either in person at a branch or over the phone the assistance has always been exceptional. The fraud protection services are very proactive. And as a Credit Union they are not for profit and you never hear anything in the news about any fraudulent activity like you hear about big for profit banks.
