“Went for an Alcohol Inks painting workshop. The shop itself is very cute and cozy with a small town/country feel. Organized disarray that makes exploring more enjoyable, making little discoveries.
The people are so warm and welcoming. The workshops are small so you get good instruction and attention when needed. Instructions are clear and come with an associated demonstration before you try it yourself. We started by testing the ink colors and consistency on a scrap strip so we could know how they would look and react as we used them in our actual paintings.
We painted three pieces altogether. The first one is not as good as the others as we were learning techniques for working with the inks. Once you have that first one under your belt, it becomes easier to blend and manipulate the inks on the next pieces.
We really enjoyed this workshop and will definitely be doing more here.”

“Shelly, the owner, was amazing. I bought a Freddy Mercury print off marketplace that had a decent dink in head, she cleaned the print beautifully, fixed the imperfections, framed and added new glass for a very reasonable price. I will be back.”

“We had a wonderful experience last weekend as guests of MaryEllen and Andrew at The Muse. The whole place was beautiful and decorated with fun colors and great artwork (it is a gallery after all). When we arrived Friday, it was easy to relax on the front porch before walking to dinner. Our beds were comfortable and it’s really quiet. Upstairs in the suite we had, there’s a sitting room, a great place to relax, chat, read or even watch a little Brewers baseball. Breakfast was delicious, one morning was quiche and sides the other was fruit cobblers both with fruit on the side. Highly recommend staying at The Muse!”
