Amazing collection of primarily dutch and German art. I prefer it even to the Milwaukee art museum.

A great way to spend an afternoon, 2 hours was not long enough to explore the museum! We started from the sculpture garden and worked our way down. Really well laid out to emphasize the different time periods and evolution of industries. Some of my favorite works showed sparks of color that really added dimension to the forging scenes.

Cool little art museum! I was in Milwaukee with my family for a show. We wanted to check out some sights and do some cheap activities. This place was only $5 and kids get in free! Now I’ll be honest, my kids didn’t care about the art and mostly ran a muk, but I really enjoyed it! My favorite exhibit was Carl Sperzweg. His paintings are very romantic and detailed. I bought a magnet to put on my fridge to document my adventure! For the price you can’t beat it.

Enjoyed this museum a lot. 4 floors within the college campus. We started at the rooftop with all the statues and worked our way down. The paintings are incredible and categorized based on content. There was a special exhibition for Michael Newhall. Those pieces blew me away with the layering of images. Amazing to see the detail in all the pieces from centuries ago comparing to modern day pieces.

I loved every moment here. I feel as if I learned so much about how things were here in Wisconsin as well as the rest of the world. I plan to visit again.

To my surprise... this is one of my favorite museums. A wonderful collection of paintings and mostly-bronze sculptures, often with such humanity in their subjects that you don't see in a lot of Elevated Subject art. It wasn't crowded and there's good space, and the paintings are lower to the floor than normal - making the whole thing particularly accessible.I do wish there were a little more information on the sculpture garden in particular.

I didn't know what to expect when we went to the Grohmann Museum on Sunday. But it was free for Doors Open Milwaukee, we decided to check it out. There is a beautiful rooftop overlooking the city with sculptures. The three floors have beautiful artwork depicting workers. Looking at these beautiful paintings made us realize the importance each worker has played throughout the ages.

This place is absolutely fantastic to visit. There is so much history, so much art, so much creativity, so much beauty, and so so many sculptures. The displays change on regular basis…. They have special events, interactive activities, and great presentations. Staff is wonderful and you will enjoy the rooftop sculpture garden.

What a find! I took a friend from out of town to this museum and it's a diamond. Only $5 per person for an admission fee and took about 3 hours to go thru it. Paintings and sculptures about the evolution of work from around the world and done by famous artists. A spectacular museum and well worth visiting.

I've been wanting to see the Grohmann Museum since my son started MSOE four years ago. He's now a senior. Awesome place. Such beautiful art pieces. I enjoyed this more than the art museum on Lake Drive. Beautiful building. I would recommend going when the fourth floor terrace is open. Also very reasonable prices. $5 per person. My son is a student, so he gets two free guests.

Too many old paintings of German workers. Needs more contemporary works depicting the American working class. The collection is creepy in the context of the capitalist that put it together. The Corona (2020) painting down a hallway was great.

This was a stunning location to host a group event of roughly 40 people. In addition to smooth and friendly event planning support, (thanks Saj, MacKenna, and Caroline!) the collection of art is beyond impressive. Our guests commented on what a special backdrop this location was. I was surprised to learn how affordable Grohmann Museum memberships are as well.

It's a great place to enjoy Art. Well preserved and loved the paintings. There are some cool collectibles at the gift shop.
