The Grohmann Museum on the MSOE campus in downtown Milwaukee is home to the world’s most comprehensive art collection dedicated to the evolution of human work. The museum is a beautiful museum with an extensive collection of engineering based artwork, many paintings, sculptures, and a spectacular rooftop garden. The museum is a hidden gem tucked away in the city, with doors open events that reveal a different collection than usual. Staff were fantastic and the student engineers present projects in a nice venue, though parking can be difficult. The sculpture garden on the roof and the subject of labor captured by many artists make the museum a unique place for learning about art.

This museum is one of the best places to visit in Milwaukee! The amazing collection showcases so many unique professions. Make sure to allow at least three hours for your visit because there is so much to see and explore. You’ll definitely need plenty of time to take in all the fascinating exhibits.
