I love this place, it's an experience that you just otherwise can't find these days. I check for DND books every time I visit this airport. It's a modern day Pagemaster!

I absolutely love this bookstore! Its eclectic disheveled look give it character and charm. The few times I've been there I've always found something unique and worth buying.

What a great bookstore! Reminds me of my favorites in Madison, Evanston and Chicago! So fun searching for hard to find items! Park in the hourly near baggage, go up one flight and it’s on the right. Must check out! The owner is very nice too!

I love visiting this Milwaukee airport because of this bookstore. It has quite an amazing the collection of books. Though it is packed with books, each time I ask an employee for a book I am looking for, they know exactly where to find it. It is a charming, unique experience to stop here. I make sure I get to the airport early specifically to shop at Renaissance Books! With the plethora of shops in the terminal, this is one that is not like those in every other airport.... the other shops can be found in all major airport and cities, not this one!! Love it!!!

I think a lot of the great ratings for this store is strictly because it’s in the airport. If it weren’t, I think it would have mediocre ratings. My main gripe is that most of the books are still sticker price regardless of new/used/condition. I came early to pick someone up so I’d have time to look, but ended up leaving when I saw the prices of a couple books I was interested in.

An original among airport bookstores with its eclectic mix of used and new, Wisconsin works and history. Often that's where I see hard-to-find books, or something that's the perfect gift. I pass through MKE a few times every year, and like to budget time to browse at Renaissance.

Shockingly good book store in the airport. Great selection, prices, and overall vibe. Used books.

I love the vibe of this bookstore. Its cascade of books. It's disheveled shelves. The only better bookstore was its now closed older sister in downtown Milwaukee. If you love books and love hunting for a new read, Renaissance is worth a drive to the airport even if you aren't flying.

A nice place to kill time before traveling or waiting for someone to arrive. Books are everywhere, stacked and hanging off shelves, but it adds to the charm. The selection has some rare items, some still in shrinkwrap as well.

So many treasures to be found here! Found this when we got stuck on a delayed connection in 2012. I make it a point to go to the MKE airport anytime I'm driving thru Milwaukee just to visit this shop. And who ever wants to go to an airport when they do not HAVE to? ?

This place is pretty awesome! After dropping off my rental car I was still early for my flight. I happened to be walking by and was excited I had the extra time to browse the shop. In all honestly, the place is a bit of a mess, but to me that's part of the magic. The store definitely still has some semblance of organization and the book categories are clearly marked. Prices seem to range from $2 all the way up to a standard new book price of $27. I browsed around for a while, but I was particularly excited about the children's section. I like to bring my son home something from a trip and a book is a perfect gift. He's obsessed with the Little Engine That Could and I found two oversized vintage books from the early 2000s. Since those versions aren't in print anymore it was quite the exciting find. I know this wouldn't be exciting for most, but the find was thrilling to me. ;) I'm excited to give the book to my son! Love that this is a store to browse at the airport and next time I'm flying through MKE, I will definitely be stopping in.

This place is so cool. I stop here every-time a travel (almost monthly). The staff is quirky and fun. The book treasures are so unique. Prices are great. I’m always finding great finds for myself and my kids 100% recommended.

If I could give zero stars I would. Extremely disrespectful staff and terrible customer service. I called in this afternoon looking for books authored by Indigenous folks to revamp a youth centered library at a non-profit organization in MKE. The man who answered did not have any interest in helping me. He gave me really gruff and short answers & was very vague saying things like "I dont know youll have to come in" with an annoyed tone. The phone call ended with him HANGING UP ON ME after asking if there was someone who could better answer my questions about potential discounts for buying in bulk through a non-profit organization. Not only was the whole interaction highly unprofessional but due to one individual's actions this store lost out on a great opportunity for community collaboration and of course money. I did not get a chance to figure out who I was speaking to or to get a manager on the phone because I was hung up on before the conversation got to that point. DO NOT spend your money here.

What a wonderful bookstore to explore. Came to the airport extra early before my flight just to have a chance to peruse the aisles. It’s a treasure house of vintage to up-to-date books covering subjects in every category. History buffs, comic book collectors, children book enthusiasts, world explorers and faith followers should definitely make it a point of stopping by. The best part is meeting the owner of this fine establishment. Like meeting history in the making.
