Lakeview Animal Clinic

This clinic is the absolute best! I have had many pets throughout my lifetime and have seen my animals thru many crisises and this team is by far the most compassionate and caring. My little chihuahua recently needed 21 teeth removed and they were on it with the most calming and compassionate care ever. Since she is my emotional support dog I was frantic thinking she would be in great pain, but their care and expertise calmed both myself and my fur baby. I think I was more worried than she was!! They called the next day to make sure she was doing well and there was no bleeding or whining. She even ate a bit of food each day since and is slowly becoming her old doggie self. Dr. Augustin and her most competent staff are truly in the right profession. I cannot say enough good things about the treatment we both received!! Kudos to everyone there!

Barking Up Hickory is truly the best! My dogs absolutely love going there, and I always feel completely at ease leaving them in such great hands. The staff clearly cares deeply about every dog—they take the time to get to know their personalities and make sure each one feels comfortable and happy.

One of my dogs can be a little standoffish, but even she always comes home tired, happy, and clearly well cared for. That says so much about the way they run things and the trust they build with the dogs.

From daycare to boarding, Barking Up Hickory goes above and beyond. I couldn’t recommend them more highly—they’re caring, professional, and truly make it a fun experience for the pups. Five stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I chose this place for the outdoor vibes, the healthy food choices, and the 25% off family night special. We arrived at about 5:30 and there were only 2 people eating, even though family night started at 4. The first girl that greeted us was friendly and mentioned the family night special to us. She informed us that they were out of salmon and falafel, which of course (were the two things that I thought sounded the best on the menu). We stepped away to look at the menu, then placed our order with a different woman (very tall), who was not quite as friendly or helpful.

We had a great spot to sit on some cushioned chairs in the sunshine.
Food came out fairly quickly, and it was all tasty (2 pizzas and 1 quesadilla, chips and guacamole) and light - we felt satisfied but not stuffed. And of course it was while we were eating that I realized she did not give us our 25% off discount, which would have been ~$12-13. But I did not go in and pursue it.

While we were there, maybe 10 people came to eat, which was surprising given that the outdoor area was so nice, and there are a couple of large seating areas. I think there was rooftop/balcony seating, but that may have been for private events. There is an outdoor playground for kids, and a large grassy area for kids to run around. I hope more people come out here, because it definitely is a neat place.
