“This is a great place to shop for items which would typically cost about twice the price that Dollar Tree charges. Plastic silverware, ceramic bowls, cleaning products and alkaline batteries are a few examples. The staff is always helpful, friendly and courteous as well.”
“I had a generally positive experience at the Dollar Tree on 80th Street, and I want to acknowledge that the cashier was friendly and professional. However, after completing my purchase, I realized I never received the cold and flu medicine I paid for. I did not have a paper receipt, though the item was visible on the register screen, and staff reviewed the camera footage with a manager named Cheryl to confirm the transaction.
Despite the time spent reviewing the situation, no refund or replacement was offered, leaving me out $1.25. While I understand store policies, the amount of time and effort spent addressing such a small item felt disproportionate, especially since the cold and flu medicine was the sole reason for my visit. A simple resolution would have made a meaningful difference in the overall customer experience. After all that I need to apologize I made a mistake I had already put it away next to the flavored singles so it was in my possession.”
“I recently visited Dollar General and had a great experience. The atmosphere was upbeat and positive, with plenty of different items to choose from. The store was well stocked, and I was impressed by the variety. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and quick to assist with my questions. “I come to this Dollar General pretty regularly, and I just want to say that Elizabeth is always there when I shop. She’s consistently helpful, kind, and willing to go out of her way to assist, even when it’s obvious she’s extremely busy. I honestly don’t see a lot of other employees working with her, so she’s doing a lot, and still has a great attitude every time.
That said, my experience today was very different. There was a newer employee, I believe her name was Tehran, and she just seemed irritated and like she didn’t really want to help. It made the interaction feel kind of uncomfortable, which isn’t what I’m used to here.
I understand retail can be stressful, especially since stores like this are often understaffed and employees are stretched thin, but customer service really makes a difference. Elizabeth sets a great example of what that should look like. I hope the rest of the team can match that level of care moving forward.”
“I don’t usually shop at dollar general only because it’s very cluttered andUnorganized. I stopped here because my cat needed food and I didn’t want to go way out of my way to a bigger store. This store was immaculate and orderly. Employees were helpful and friendly as well. I will be stopping here again!”

“I live uptown, but refuse to shop at that location. This store was like a breath of fresh air compared to the 22nd. ST. Location. The employee was extremely helpful and friendly and even appologized on behalf of the company when I mentioned the horrible treatment I received several days ago at the uptown location. The store was clean and organized. The displays were put together and best of all there weren't empty shelves and unopened boxes all over the store. It was worth the drive across town.”

“amily Dollar is a nice small store to go in and out to get things that you need.The location has had good service in the times that I have visited and have always had what I was looking for. It is pretty convenient being a smaller store to visit this store. If you are looking for a big variety of a certain product then you want to go elsewhere but generally there are a few different brands of each item to choose from.They do have a small alcohol selection as well. I look at this place like a small grocery store and small Walmart/Target in one place.”
“This Dollar Tree is the biggest one in the area! We get shoppers coming all the way from Milwaukee, Racine and even Illinois coming to shop at our store! Like I always say, come here first! Then check out the other stores!”

“This has to be one of the most craziest situations I ever ran into period the cashier accused the guy of trying to steal , because a lot of his items didn't have a scan bar period so they end up getting to arguing right in front of me , which is very entertaining. “Where helpful letting me keep my scooter and bag by front counter while I shopped for dry clothes. I had got caught in the rain, purchased shoes, socks, pants, and shirt. Also, earbuds and cigs. With a coupon, I only paid $39.”
“I've been to all the dollar general's in my area. The one in Beach Park, Zion, Winthrop harbor, this one is the best stocked with lots of options also it's one of the only stores that doesn't have a lot of boxes in your way.”

“I go here all the time for my household items, and hygiene products. The place is full of boxes, not very organized but some parts of it are. The floors were clean though!Some staff are a bit rude and sound like they don't want to be there. But the manager is to the point and respectful. Most of the time I find what I need, but sometimes I don't and they are out of stock. I absolutely love the hygiene products they have here though! And it also has a mailbox in the front with gumball machines by the front door. Pretty pleased Everytime I go here.”
“I often go to dollar General on Sheridan Road in Kenosha, WI. Last Friday July 5th, 2024, I stopped for a few items. The salesclerk, Gejuan assisted me. He not only helped me locate my items, but he was pleasant, and had a bubbly can-do attitude. You have a winner with that young man! Give him a raise!”
