“The doctors are excellent, though my only interactions with the surgeon was having my two cats put down. Dr Kelley always explained things and looked for alternatives. My cat was very nervous coming in but would calm down with Dr. Kelley. That said, the staff is impersonal and at times make it feel like caring for a pet interrupts their day. Didn't even get my cat's name right when they put her down and didn't give me anything to remember her by (like paw prints).”

“I've been to two other very highly rated vets in the area and this place is the best!!! First of all, you can get an apptvin a reasonable timeframe. Not months out! Three other vets would not work with my reactive dog and I, after trying a couple meds, said we needed a $600/hr vet behaviorist with multi month waits. Dr Malitsky spent an HOUR listening to my concerns, observing behavior, making recommendations, even did a desensitization session and the meds he needed to succeed. It was so much more than I hoped for. She was the FIRST animal professional in 8 months that had something positive to say about my dog ( instead of recommending returning to shelter for euthanasia, or saying it was going to be almost impossible) and for the first time I was hopeful. With the right meds and intensive training program, we've made so much progress, thanks to the Animal Hospital of Gurnee!”
“Marty is my cat, and my Buddy . He got ill and he was at Kenosha Animal hospital all day and night for a week. We tried to get them to recover. It was difficult and at the end he is at peace now, I like to thank Dr. Carlisle and the Kenosha animal Hospital staff that took care of Marty for me. Dr. Carlile is a very, very , good doctor , it was a struggle for Marty and myself, but Dr. Carlisle helped us through it with Marty, and myself . Thank you very much.”

“I tried Vetco (Petco) vaccination clinics for the first time today with my dog and my cat. I love my vet and take my pets there if we have a problem but vaccinations at my vet are just too expensive. I had previously been a pretty loyal Shotvet customer which is PetSmart's vaccination clinic. After our appointment today at Petco... I will tell you that Vetco is SO MUCH BETTER!! We went to the Sturdevant, WI location. First off, it's much easier to book an appointment with Vetco vs. Shotvet. There are more available days and times which is way more convenient. The girl who checked us in as well as the vet tech and the vet were very professional, incredibly friendly, super informative and knowledgeable. They talked to me about other options for my dog's flea/tick and heartworm meds than the ones that I use and pointed out that these other options would save me some money. They pointed out a benign tumor in my dog's ear that I knew about but could easily have been unaware of. I really appreciated the extra time they took to talk to me about those things. They also asked if I had other veterinary concerns with my pets. I did not, but it's nice they take the time to answer questions or listen to concerns that are non-vaccine related. Shotvet did not show this level of concern for my pet, though they are quick and efficient. Vetco goes above and beyond in my opinion. I was really happy with my experience today and will absolutely continue to do my vaccine appointments with Vetco from now on.”
“I've been going to Prairie Side for several years. The veterinarians are great, the techs are amazing and the front desk staff is so friendly. I've gone for regular check ups, emergency situations and even for goodbyes. Through all those the staff have been great with myself and my pets. Theyve gone above and beyond from time to time as well. They are reasonably priced and they ALWAYS find a way to get me in asap. I really appreciate them for being a safety net for my worries and a wealth of information when it comes to my pets health. I've had pets my whole life and have been to several other vets in town, there's a reason I've stayed with Prairie Side as long as I have!”
