VCA Spooner Veterinary Hospital
N4815 Dvm Dr, SpoonerOn this past Tuesday I had the unfortunate need of a vet appt on short notice, I was able to book their first appt online before opening up. Carrying my dog in to the their facility right away there was genuine concern for myself and my dog. Before our appointment I was unsure if I would be coming home with our dog or not, even though all VCA did was to get an IV bag of fluids in him and helped us to decide that we needed ER Vet services, it was beyond amazing the care and concern they showed, I was asked by 3 separate people as I left to call them with what is going on. Now that our dog has been diagnosed with Addison's Disease and due to the life long medications he will be on we have decided to make VCA our primary vet for both our GSP and Golden, due to the outstanding service we have received in just our short visit.

Round Man Brewing Co.
234 Walnut St, SpoonerWe stopped at Round Man Brewery in early August after seeing it featured on a PBS program. We were headed up north, so this was a lunch stop shortly after they opened for the day. My husband and I both ordered a beer, each of us choosing something we would normally love. However, neither of us particularly liked our beer and I left half a glass in the table at the end of the meal. Honestly, the flavors just seemed muted and watery.
The food was the saving grace in this stop. I ordered the Rmblt with fries and my husband ordered the prime rib sandwich with fries. We both loved the flavors in our sandwiches— they each had a unique twist on a classic— the Rmblt had a yummy dijonnaise and the prime rib sandwich came with a creamy horseradish and spicy pickled pepper relish. And the fries were hot and crisp.
Service was a bit slow on this day…. we waited a long time after we were finished for our check. But, the waitress did seem like she had a lot of tables and was doing her best.
I would return to Round Man for another sandwich but I would pass on the beer next time.

1350 County Hwy E, SpoonerGreat place to eat, drink and meet friends. Views are amazing lookout out over Big McKenzie Lake. A must stop!
