Had my truck brought here to have engine replaced after it's been sitting for 6ish years. They lost my information, so they were unable to contact me until an acquaintance brought their vehicle in, and then a message was relayed saying work was finished. Contacted French Town. Was told truck is running and drivable. I asked if they could go over rest of truck and test drive it to ensure everything else was going to be reliable. A couple weeks later I'm told it's ready to go. I picked it up after hours on Saturday December 13th, after paying earlier that day, and the brake pedal needs to be pumped before it barely responds. Drove an hour home and parked it, but not before getting pulled over for the driverside taillights not working. Replaced the light harness because of wire corrosion at connector. Two days later, Monday December 15th, I go to drive it and now it idle's rough. Barely any power to go. Slow to get up to any speed limit. Might get to a speed of 63 mph(gas pedal to floor). Definitely can't pass any vehicles. Loses 5-10 mph going up any hill. Burns through gas. Basically filled the tank twice to get to Barron and back to Phillips. Its either at 2500 rpm's while driving or wants to shoot up to 3500-4000 rpm's if trying to increase speed. It stalled when turning into my neighborhood when I got back to Phillips. Luckily I was nearly home. I called the shop when I got to Barron before the shop closed. A worker took down some info on what was happening, because the owner was on another call, but made it seem like he wasn't on another call. Was told I'd receive a call back. Tuesday December 16th, I try to start the truck and now it won't even start. It's now Thursday December 18th and I still haven't received a call back. Here I am, stranded before the Christmas Holidays... Let's hear it for French Town Repair!!

02/07/26 Update

They brought a loaner vehicle on a flatbed truck for me to use and picked up my truck. Had a few more extra issues to be looked at. Got it up and running good. Hooked me up price-wise. Didn't cost me nearly as much as it should have on their end. Definitely made it right. I'd bring my vehicles back again.”
