“Hardware stores are my favorite stores. I love Lakeland True Value because of the helpful guys who work here. So helpful, that I can’t just wander around their store marveling at all one space can hold without them offering to help me find whatever it is I’m looking for. Eventually I have to admit to them, and myself, that I’m just wandering and get out before buying more things that I never needed.
I also buy things I do actually need and things I didn’t know I needed til I got there. They actually have a better selection of towel bars than Walmart and Ace, and I’m pretty particular about design.
If they can’t find what you need, they’ll get it for you!
Also…We’ve had these guys repair our screens and they know the community so they connected me with a repair person when I needed one.”

“George was very rude. I was matching a color so I didn't want to drive to Home Depot Rhinelander.
Linda at the paint desk was awesome. She got the color perfectly and was of good cheer.
George said this is why he doesn't like out of downtown contractors and huffed away. What George didn't realize is I own 2 cabins on High Lake and spend about 1/4 of my year there remodeling homes.
It is all I have ever done and live on the Gulf in Florida. My work is excellent and if the color wasn't matched perfectly I wouldn't have used it and ate it and gone to Home Depot. Linda pulled it off! You go girl you're an asset. George on the other hand was argumentative and rude.”
