“The room was very spacious! The decor was retro! I loved it. Beds were clean. My grandson was tickled to have a whole king bed to himself! Brad was very nice checking us in when we showed up at 9p. Of course there were a couple of little things, like the faucet was a bit janky and the drain in the shower was slow, the AC could have cooler, I mean it was built in 1960.
Kevin was restocking the breakfast bar with a nice variety of convenient breakfast items. I was impressed with the selection as many of the other places we have stayed on this road trip had either nothing or just a packaged donut.
Kevin was cheerful and asked about our stay to be sure everything was satisfactory. I would definitely stay here again if I am in the area in the future.”

“My wife had a very long day, a Saturday, getting up at 3 am at our home in Boise, ID, flying to Denver to purchase a car, then driving it back to our home. I asked AI what a good halfway point would be for us to bed down for the night, and Evanston, WY, was recommended. On our drive up, I researched the hotels in Evanston and settled on the Holiday Inn Express, based on the reviews.

I was able to get a room with two queen beds at a very reasonable rate. We rolled into Evanston about 9:30 pm. Parking is free and there is plenty of it. Weston was at the front desk, a very friendly gentleman who had been working hard but was still personable and attentive. He very graciously, and without asking, put us on the third floor away from I-80.

There are a few restaurants within walking distance, and the one we patronized, The Lincoln Highway Tavern, I recommend.

Our room was clean, a must for my wife, spacious, and very nice. The beds were reasonably comfortable (I never sleep well away from home), and the room had the usual amenities, including a mini fridge, microwave, and hairdryer. The bathroom shower was a standard size, the water was hot and the pressure was adequate, and the bathroom fan worked well. It was very quiet; no complaints of noise.

We did partake of the complimentary breakfast, which was open at 6:30 on Sunday, earlier than I'm used to, but very much appreciated since we wanted to get on the road quickly. The coffee was decent, the OJ yummy, and the scrambled eggs and biscuits were OK. The bacon was crispy but lukewarm, and the sausage, like so many hotels, appeared to be steamed instead of grilled, and was cold. The Hispanic woman attending the breakfast area was very nice. The female desk clerk checking us out was also pleasant.

In the future, on trips to visit our son and his wife in Ft. Collins, we would definitely stay here again. It's a gem.”

“It wasn’t a bad place at all. The bed was excellent! We were on the first floor and those rooms are accessible without going though lobby. We were able to park directly in front of our room.”
