On short notice they got my truck right in and had me back on the road just a couple of hours later. First class people and place to do business with!

We are very disappointed with the service my daughter received after purchasing her Ford Explorer. She was told the pre-collision sensor failed due to an “impact,” even though she has never wrecked her car and had barely driven it. As this is her first car purchased here in Gillette, we are extremely dissatisfied with the level of service provided. You can—and should—do better.

I remember when small town businesses were the place to go because they cared about their customers. Well it is safe to say that is no longer the case with this place. I myself have bought many vehicles from them and my kids and grandkids bought their first cars from there. But never again and I will never recommend this place to anyone. This place is so unethical and treats its customers flat out wrong. Basically stealing money for repairs they don’t tell you about or hide as is the case with my son. I’m done with this place and you should be to.

I bought my vehicle a little over 30 days ago. Shortly after, the Pre-Collision Assist warning came on. I didn’t think much of it at first since I had barely driven the car. Later, while traveling out of town, the cruise control suddenly stopped working. We assumed it might be a blown fuse, so we replaced the fuse and even disconnected and reconnected the battery, but the warning still remained.
We then ran a diagnostic to check for any technical issues, but no codes appeared. So, I scheduled an appointment with the service department to find out what was going on.
When I called to check on the car, I was told it could be chewed wires. Then shortly after, I received another call saying the Pre-Collision Module was “broken due to impact.” This makes absolutely no sense to me. My front bumper is in mint condition—no dents, no scratches—and I definitely haven’t hit anything. How is that even possible? Where exactly is this module located? Because there is no way this damage came from an impact.
On top of all of this, I was charged over $1,500 to repair the issue—on a car with less than 53,000 miles. At this point, it truly feels like this problem may have been masked before I purchased the vehicle.

Experience with this dealership was extremely disappointing. Shortly after my family purchased a vehicle from them, a major sensor issue showed up. When they contacted them, they refused to take any responsibility or offer any meaningful help—even though the problem surfaced almost immediately after the sale.
It became very clear that once they had the money, their concern for customer support stopped. This is not the level of integrity or accountability anyone should expect from a dealership. I strongly recommend approaching this place with caution and doing your own thorough inspection, because they won’t stand behind what they sell.

This place has to be the most unethical business run in Gillette. I would not recommend buying anything from them. I bought two cars within a week of each other and services that were promised has yet to be done. But that isn’t as bad as the damage that was hidden costing thousands.

Sarah Bacon in service has been so helpful to our fleet. She is fast, punctual, and a reliable service asset to my company. I send her trucks over 150 miles away from the dealership. She keeps our trucks rolling, and I am so happy I found her. Whatever you are paying her, it's not enough.

I had the best experience at Thunder Basin Ford then I’ve had at any other dealership. I worked with Paul O’Connor to find an Explorer ST, & he found exactly what I wanted, & made it happen! No “dealer add-ons” or sneaky fees. Paul wasn’t pushy, trying to “up-sell” us, etc. If you need a car, go see Paul, you won’t regret it!

Five stars for Paul O’Connor… it’s hard to come by a Sales Representative like this… We had such a great experience buying our new car through him. He was honest and patient. He knows his Fords really well too. Paul is a very humble and nice person. Thunder Basin is lucky to have him.

I don’t know where to start with this company but they do not communicate, they do not call you back, they take it upon them self’s to replace/fix things you don’t approve and expect you to pay thousands of dollars for it. Sara just lies, I recommend anyone and everyone do NOT use there service department, they will hold your vehicle and not keep you in the loop on anything worse experience I have ever had. Thunder basin ford is crooked and scandalous
